About (sandy ocean) beaches. Locally they closed them to "encourage" the college Spring-Break crowd to go home. Then when the hotels/motels were ordered closed they re-opened the beaches because it was just us local people so "distancing" was easy but, then the governor ordered all the beaches closed across the entire state of Florida. And that's the way it is now. I think it's dumb because the beaches are VERY WIDE expanses of sand, not at all like passing someone on a narrow sidewalk. But nobody asked me.))

It's true that in this coronavirus madness many things now seem ridiculous sometimes. It is because we used to live in the World which was formed for many many years. But now everything must be changed and changing every day. So many of decisions are getting taken without too much of thinking. I guess with such a logic that let's prohibit it for now, and then will thinking what to do next. To prohibit all for authorities now seem like the simpliest decision.

My Wife's family in Ufa who are doctors say the situation in Bashkortostan has become dramatically worse over the weekend, with doctors being locked into the hospitals. Her aunt has been told to pack a suitcase and prepare to live in the hospital for an extended period of time. They are also worried about patients coming into Ufa from the villages for tests, and then returning home while waiting for their results - an outbreak in the villages where there are no large hospitals, and the population is on average much older would be particularly devastating. Hopefully the situation remains under control.
