This is my first comment on your channel. I found it by youtube's recommendation the other week, and of course I binge watched the entire "Ivy" series right away. Here's what I wanted to say: I just love how you are straight to the point. No BS, no cussing or cursing, just calm, live narration on what's going on. Great explanations on how things work, and how to fix them when they DON'T work. All that with no "uhm's" or "errrm's", awkward pauses or anything like that. You just grab the cam and talk us live through the images presented on our screens. That's amazing talent on the technical side - how to fix things on the car - but also incredible talent on how to present that stuff so the viewer doesn't get bored or angry. I am German, so English is only my 2nd language. With other American YT channels I sometimes struggle to understand everything. Not on your channel. It's all well pronounced and without any sort of accent. And with your pleasant voice, you could read the telephone book on your channel... I'd still tune in and listen. Great stuff, David!

Jaguar and a lot of other manufacturers like Porsche actually designed those handbrakes so that they were mounted at a different angle allowing easier in/out access, or the handbrake itself on Jaguars would pull up, and then drop down and the release button would extend outward indicating that the parking brake was on, and then you’d have to lift the lever up and press the button to release it.

Thank you David, that was very helpful, in fact more than you may have intended. I'm re-doing the rear discs on a 1971 1800 (I guess I've been incorrectly calling it a P1800?) and haven't been able to find ANY how-to's even in the shop manual. But in the last part of your video I see two tapped holes in the hub flange (disc removed) which no doubt correspond to the two phillips screw heads on my rear hubs. If you have a video showing replacement/repair of the rear discs, could you direct me to it? Otherwise, this may suffice. Thanks again and best wishes.
