The design process is really cool to see. The scanner gives you a mesh like an stl file? The. You draw in solid works off that mesh to make the mounts?

The scanner indeed gives you an STL, OBJ or Point Cloud file. With software like GOM inspect you can create planes, cilinders etc from the STL file or completely reverse engineer it. I just use it to create planes and cylinders that I can use in Fusion 360 to create an assembly.

I'm thinking of getting an Einscan. Cool to see you using it for prototyping and building accurately. For me, its tough to justify the cost while I'm in NYC... no garage space. Im considering picking up a cheap set up just to get started with some basic parts and practice. keep rockin!

Hey, ga je voor de om606 net zo’n makkelijke swap kit maken voor de 240 als voor de 1uz en wanneer verwacht je die af te hebben? En naar welke swap gaat jou voorkeur? (Met de huidige dieselregelingen etc in gedachten...) oh en maakt het qua prijs nog veel verschil? Keep up the good work!

Jesse Wever Waarschijnlijk zal ik wel een set motorsteunen maken. Ik ben nog niet zeker of ik de OM606 swap ook zal uitvoeren ivm het steeds strenger wordende diesel beleid.. qua kosten zijn ze vrijwel gelijk. De 1UZ moet een kabelboom op maat hebben en de OM606 een mechanische pomp. Dus het is maar net wat de voorkeur geniet.

Bedankt voor je reactie, dat dieselbeleid is dus precies waar ik ook mee in mn maag zit... ik heb al een mercedes e300 met een om606 staan maar miss is de aanschaf van een 1uz toch verstandiger...🤔 nog maar even goed over nadenken
