Volvo 240 Shock Replacement

Replacing the shocks on a 1991 Volvo 240. This is a simple process with hand tools and PB Blaster (or other penetrating fluid).

Great video. If you start getting a rattle in the near future, it’s your shocks. The billy TCs are well known for bad quality control and sizing for the sleeve in the top mount. In my experience they’re quiet for a bit but get kinda rattly within a few weeks.

Hey buddy. Thanks for the video. I have these shocks in my "cart" but I don't want to pull the trigger until I consult with you. Are these made in Germany and, what do YOU think of the quality. I see another commenter seems to think they are less than acceptable. You now have some experience on them and I'd like to know. KYBs are another option if these are not suitable. Hi there! I don’t know where they are made, unfortunately. As far as quality… I’m sorry to say I don’t have anything to compare them to except the original busted shocks. My experience: they made a world of difference (though I suppose any shocks would have done the same in my case). I would recommend them as a fine budget item. If you’re looking for best quality I’d go with the HD’s, spend a bit more money. But if you’re looking to budget replace OE shocks, these were fine for me! Hope this helps!
