Looks real nice. Definitely recommend Volvo. When my grandad bought his 1986 740 GLE there was nothing like it. Beautiful leather interior, rode so well, solid and refined. We still have it. I used to crank my Miami Sound Machine tape to 11. Volvo needs to be silver.

Nice story about your car, glad it's still in your family. I agree that 740s just look right in silver but growing up i saw so many 240s in green or brown. Cool cars though. Nice that Rob's work can take us back to these memories!

Appreciate the approach of asking what you can do for people to subscribe, I’ve literally seen 400k channels complaining that their videos that get millions of views are viewed mostly by unsubscribed people, it just comes across as ungrateful and whiny to me. I'm doing meticulous job at the front grill, tail and headlights, I want it to be perfect! Repainting it with a satin bloody burgundy, matte black top and hood, and I added the yellow splitter protector because I'm biased and I think it looks amazing.

I heard many years ago that Volvo was the safest car in the world, don't know if it's true or not. This little one you just restored looks pretty nice, maybe the set of tires doesn't fit perfect, but the casting is wonderful, nice colour. And don't be worried about subscribers, sooner or later they will be more, many people is watching your videos and that's a good thing, keep on your great job 👍

Hi Rob, Poundland is a modellers gold mine. I have some of that Gold paint and it is great for the MB Mk10 Jag, comes out a slightly lighter shade than the original brown/gold, but looks very good. Also the 2 part epoxy is great, I used it to mold a tank end for the MB sugar tanker and it sets very hard, in fact it took a little filing to get the cast to fit properly and it definitely held up to some hard work with the file without crumbling to dust. The Super glue is good for what you pay although a little thin for super delicate work but fine for gluing back 'A' pillar repairs with some bicarb to set it, and again it stands up to filing any excess of.

I watch a channel called 'Black Magic Craft', and the Canadian guy on it, makes fantastic models from foam and card, etc. He always uses stuff from the Canadian equivalent of Poundland, including two-part epoxy. I expect it's the same stuff, if you dug deep enough. It works well, and he uses it a lot. That spray paint is good stuff. A pound a can? You'd be mad not to. 18:15 - I think that Corvette is a Yatming copy of a Tomica. The wheels definitely say 'Yatming' to me. Tomica wheels are very, very similar to the skinny 'Superfast' type 1 wheels.

You asked what I would like to see. I have seen a few videos and this looks all nice, but perhaps you could detail the inside a bit more. I always liked to look into the windows of the car, but then was almost always disappointed to it all in one single color. For instance this Volvo had some different detailing (it was my first car). "Just" painting it black, you loose a lot of detail. Please see this as positive feedback! Love the work you do, it is somehow very relaxing to watch :-)

The casting seemed to be more of a Jeep than a Volvo. Nevertheless it turned out beautifully. When you asked about the color. I though beige, brown, silver, and green. The candy brown turned out great. Nice haul from both from Poundland and the box of cars at the Antique store. I look forward to further episodes. See ya.

The front end looked more like a Land Rover Defender than a Volvo. From original, pre Hornby Corgi's final years, in the early 1980's, when they seemed to be 'phoning it in'. A sad time.

Great Video as always, I didint realise i wasint subcribed untill now :D When i was a kid my dad had a 1985 Volvo 245 Glt with Aircondition, that was and still is pretty uncommon here in Sweden, but that car did have more or less the same color as what you painted yours in, metallic brown, I remeber it quite well because he hated it and had it repainted in a blue-green color that was an option on the 940 model. I myself daily drive a 1990 245 and they sure are good cars to this day.

And I see you got a playart maybe you can finale do a video on restoring and customizing one, the Corvette I think it could be a Yatming or another Hong Kong/Chinese brand since some cheap diecast cars were made in China and sold on the world toy market as other brands.
