Couldn't you also put a bleed valve/boost controller at the overboost solenoid to keep it functioning as a fail safe but at higher psi? Or just tee off the w/g line after the boost controller? Seems like it should work (I don't know myself though). I love how these cars are as simple as they are.

there is many guys who have converted a non turbo to a turbo , since these cars came turbo you just need the turbo ecus as they have proper fuel and ignition curves for a turbo car , you wouldnt want to run na ecus

Are you sure that m46 is bad? If its hard getting into 1st gear and grinds between gears it sound to me like the clutch is not disengaging enough, just try adjusting it first.
@mattdunham47066 жыл бұрын
If it's anything like my M47 there is no adjustment, it's just in right or in wrong like mine :') The shifter bushing could be the weak link.
@daw75636 жыл бұрын
@@mattdunham4706 I'm not sure if/when Volvo started using hydralic clutch on 740/940 but the older ones that are just using a cable are adjustable by turning a plastic wheel on the bellhousing, right where it's holding the cable.

How about the b230et engine with motronic? Doesn’t have a lambda so is it safe to increase the boost with a viking chip?

when you get knock you get higher octane :p else its kinda useless. but if the ecu got knock sensors with ignition adjustment based on knock you could gain hp by using high octane fuel.
