Love your stuff. Could you show how you actually grind and clean up the welds and what tools you use- especially for the awkward bits..Keep the great work..Tony

Hi Tony! Thank you for the comment! i think that is a great idea! i will try to do that on the next video. That will be about the front fenders and the trunklid. those don't need much welding but will be perfect for a little In-Video Tutorial. 😁👍

Don't apologise for including or excluding any particular part of the restoration. It is your car, your vid. Do it in a time frame of your choosing. We are viewers and spectators and are happy with any progress you make. Thanks for the vid.

I am following your work with great interest, since I spend my day working in the trunk of my 1966 Amazon in preparation to welding some rust holes in the same place you repaired yours. One question - what did you find was the best way to remove the black tar paper insulation Volvo used? I am struggling with a gasket scraper and hammer, and have tried paint thinner. Perhaps tomorrow I'll try a wire wheel on my drill. What did you find worked best? Also, I like your nice trunk paint job, but will you cover it with new sound and heat insulation? Keep up the good work! I look forward to your next episode. tot ziens!

i use a torch and a gasket scraper. When most of it is off i just spray it witch brake cleaner wich dessolves most of the exces material. I will cover the complete car with sound deadening. I have noico black and red under my seats but i don't know what i will be using on the other parts of the car. I'm also going to insulate the complete sides of the car and the doors.

@@RollinHeritage Thanks, I'll give a propane torch a try in place of the hammer I've been using with my gasket scraper. I still have the fuel tank in place so I'll have to be careful. Cheers!

Yeah i would remove the tank.. 😅 Better be safe than sorry. Maybe a hair dryer to warm it up? might be a bit safer
