I wish my 2024 XC60 had native Android Auto...the forced android interface is terrible and a big reason for my dissatisfaction with remaining with Volvo.

I just rented the lowest price car that I could get. They gave me a new Volvo S60. At first I was like wow, this is the cheapest? After trying to use Android Auto I was quickly disappointed in the car.

Looks like with the November 18 update Android Auto should be working (probably overriding the native system) however I couldn't get it working.

My Volvo FH i-Save 500 horse power (2022 year) doesn't support Android auto... It would be nice to have Google maps on the infotainment screen...

I believe the built in OS on your vehicle is android and you can download direct. Doesn't have android auto as far as I know unfortunately.

@@carcodesecure it is Android 11, the truck is not my property when I refered to "my" in previous comment. I do drive that vehicle for my boss, so I don't have full access to the vehicle's settings. The truck came with factory TomTom navigation which is really good but I prefer Google Maps because I have a lot of pins and locations saved there.

No, check on menu or call your local dealer if you don't have.

@@MyGoogleKZbinSame issue here. I booked the lowest price rental car. The give me the keys and I find out it was a Volvo. I was Ok with that. I just wanted any rental car. I am very frustrated and disappointed about Android Auto in this car. To use my own Google Maps account I had to log into my account with the infotainment screen. Not great since it’s a rental car. And I still don’t get Android Auto. Oddly it plays KZbin videos on the infotainment screen. I didn’t check to see if plays videos when driving though. It plays when I was parked.

New cars with newer OS. Volvo are moving forward with the times as most car manufacturers are. The car in this video is 2019/2020

If your volvo has apple carplay and not android auto it's for 1 of 2 reasons 1 - it needs activation 2 - if you have the new aaos system in new volvos there isn't android auto as the operating system is android itself

@@carcodesecure oh oke, because my 2021 xc40 has a very different system. Apple CarPlay is installed though, but android auto is not, I do have a type C port with the white border
