Just watched the JayEmm video on this. I was surprised to see his reaction to the NA 2.4i 5 cyl. I own an S60 with the same engine myself, and I've found that there isn't enough love for this specific engine on these Volvos. Most people buy the T5s or Rs (S60R in my case). I'm curious to see how your resonator delete will sound. I've opted for a high flow cat + aftermarket muffler and mine sounds excellent. Only issue is that it's a little droney, which is making me consider changing the muffler out with a Borla XR-1 now as I've heard those are best to reduce drone. I've kept my stock resonator though as I've heard that on these 2.4 NA you shouldn't remove them. I think the C30 has a different manifold though so YMMV :) Awesome car, I'm hoping JayEmm will take an S60 with the same engine out for a spin now HAHA

This engine is definitely a gem, I’m enjoying it more & more. Your S60 setup sounds good - I can confirm the resonator delete is the wrong move! It doesn’t really do much other than make it sound a bit raspy on a cold start. I’m now considering getting something fabricated, or linking up an aftermarket cat-back T5 system. Like you I’d prefer to avoid too much noise though, good luck with the update 👍

A good video and I love the car. It's responsive and comfortable and having been a passenger in the front and the back for over 2 hours on each ocassion I was impressed with the comfort of the seats and the space, particularly in the back. Boot is small but adequate and I believe the back seats fold down to make more boot room. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Yep, this is a very good car.

Thank you 🎥😎 Yes it’s deceptively large inside, and yes the rear seats do fold flat. There’s also a hatch between the rear seats into the boot, some may call that a 'ski hatch' but it remains to be seen..! Nice responsive engine as you say, and we forgot to mention the handling is very good (if a little numb in the steering feel).

Nice video 👍 Caught the JayEmm vid and headed over. Had my Red 2007 C30 2.0D SE Sport since 2009. Still love the design as much as the day I bought it, still looks great from every angle. Only trouble is i’ve had transmission related issues for a few years now and been thru a succession of mechanics/garages and still no proper resolution 🤷🏻‍♂️ Desperate to get it back out on the road, but for the moment it is pristinely sheltering under a dust cover in my garage 😏

⁠@@NightfallDrivesits the 6 speed, im pretty sure both the engine and gearbox are Ford, which you would think would make it easier to resolve 🤷🏻‍♂️ Ive got the Prancing Moose badges on the car 😂 They look great against the bright red paint 😉
