I love the update to the pilot assist with the vibration when the system disables

I am trying to understand how it works, you either choose pilot assist or adaptive cruise he says (at 0min 56sec). How come then that he says at 1min 20seconds that when pilot assist deactivates : speed and distance to the car in front of you is still active, that part that is left over is adaptive cruise control but that was not activated ... pilot assist was activated. Or was the first choice at 0m56s either adaptive cruise or pilot assist (which always comes with adaptive cruise underneath it). I drive a mercedes B-class from 2019 and for me the "pilot assist" which is called "active steering assist" on a mercedes ... automatically activates when you start adaptive cruise control, you can't do adaptive cruise without it (you can but then you have to go inside the mbux operating system of the car and put it off alltogether), why would i even want that active steering assist off which you get iof you choose adaptive cruise control instead of pilot assist.

I have question, what if driver fall asleep and he don't apply steering wheel. What will be next? The autopilot will turn off and car will stop or it will crash into something? I can't find answer for this

It'll just pull over

@@Taykorjg no it will disengage and result in a crash. From what I know only Teslas system slows down and pulls over when the driver doesnt touch the steering wheel.

So you're starting to produce great luxurious limos and SUV's, and it's undoubtedly improving your image on the car market. From boxy wagons that was always a little bit behind the Big German trio into a prestige car that can be definitely an alternative for them. But I notice some disadvantage of the new policy of hitting luxury target... New models are so good equipped that even the cheapest Momentum version is hella expensive... The new series is S90,V90,XC60,XC90 are great but what happend with models like V70,S80? Cars that aren't a flagships of company and of course are a little bit worse but at the same time are affordable for a average person who's not wondering to drive such a limo but a classic and well build (as always in Volvo) safe car. Are you going to bring back lower class in a new stylish package?

Miki NoName Agrees with you! Volvo has always been my first choice of car and I'm really satisfied with my V50 from 2011. But I'm pretty worried that a new Volvo is too expensive for me. I don't think Volvo has a great substitute for my V50, which makes me very sad. The new premium cars looks really nice, but none of them are a perfect substitute for my Volvo. I would like Volvo to make some cars that's more a basic car for we that don't want a premium car. I've always loved Volvo, but I'm afraid I've owned my last one :(

Which other car comes with a digital intsrument cluster (in the base model)and many other things which the German trio do not have in the base models

New v60 is old v70 size wise. Not with the unmatched bild quality of the v70 ofc but hey you get a flashy screen
@Alexander_l3222 жыл бұрын
@@CiderHerrljunga the new v90 and the others are better built than the 2008 up to 2015 cars I think. Ford owned them so they share parts with Ford cars. Not sure what parts they share now but they seem better imo

@@Alexander_l322 geely so chinese quality now. But i think its worse quality now because of the flashier inside which costs. They don't even galvanize anymore.

Volvo is cool now, sadly the tilt steering is still use manual setting
@Irowthe1x3 жыл бұрын
It’s a safety feature - the manual steering tilt is faster to cut through if there was an accident.
@paulmorozan78933 жыл бұрын
@@Irowthe1x beside that how often do you need to adjust it ? Its not like you need that to be done twice a day , and from my experience manual is faster
@Alexander_l3222 жыл бұрын
@@paulmorozan7893 yea that’s true but if you share the car it’s nicer to have because it could remember each driver with their seat position and steering wheel position. Also it can make the steering wheel move in and up to make getting your legs in easier and it will move back when you turn the car on.
@paulmorozan78932 жыл бұрын
@@Alexander_l322 good point ! If you share the car , yes it could be useful. My wife rarely drives my car but I am very annoyed when I get back in and find the rear view mirror pointed down. I would suggest to car manufacturers electric operated steering wheel and rear view mirror
