The vehicle can park in a spot to its left side; all you have to do (to change the default sensing/scanning for the right side) is turn on the turning signal to the left and it will scan the left side.

Tim Moore You should've waited for the '18 S90. I saw one at my local Volvo dealer. It's 4" longer which gives more legroom in the backseat. It also has additional USB ports in the 2nd row.
@1973TJM7 жыл бұрын
I was going to wait. My 10-day rental of an S90 (Sixt Rental, Sea-Tac) was enough to convince me that it was as long as I wanted. My previous ride, which I still own and am trying to sell, is a 2004 VW Phaeton, itself almost 204" long. I don't really need a 4" longer rear seat legroom either. Worse, the base car costs more. With their rearranging of the packages, I would have to pay even more for what I now have. I got a $67,775 S90 T6 Inscription w/Vision, Convenience, Comfort, HUD, Bowers & Wilkins, 20" wheels, Spoiler, and Polestar Optimization, and received $10,000 off from Bakersfield Volvo, CA.

Alton Crawf You did a great job with the video which is the only video of a human behind the wheel of the car demonstrating this great feature. So thank you again. I will be giving this a try thanks to you. I bought a XC40 in April 2019 that has this feature but until your live video haven't even tried it. So Thank Your for a wonderful job.

Geraldine. You are most beautiful. As you start to use this feature on the XC40, I remind you that you must monitor the speed of the automobile. I here for you if needed. Alton

Well done video Alton. Thanks for the reminders not to text and drive. I was using driver assist on clear sunny day. The road was dry, double yellow line visible as well as white line. The road was curvy. I had driver assist on and it was engaged. The green wheel was showing to let me know driver assist was engaged. As driver assist was engaged, my Volvo X60 2021, crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. As a result of that, I no longer can trust driver assist. I have watched several videos that have indicated when driver assist is on, it might be safer to take eyes off road for a bit whether that be to check a text, grab sunglasses, etc. Had I trusted driver assist and taken my eyes off the road for a second, I would have had a head on collusion. Unfortunately, I believe the problem is that driver assist is giving people a false sense of safety/security to take eyes off the road, even for a bit, when driver assist is engaged.

Cool technology but I'd prefer to park myself in a few seconds compared to 2 minutes of automation! These systems will eventually cause rage when you get stuck waiting a minute for a car to self park...

Evening. I know this is not the video pertaining to this, but thought you'd make one for this as I can't find details on it anywhere else. How do you lock the gas tank door? I was at a gas station and thought holding the door handle to lock the doors to go into the store would then lock the gas tank cover, but after locking the car doors, I was still able to pop thr gas tank cover open. I thought if I walked away for a couple minutes it would lock, but upon returning to the car, it was still able to pop it open?

Very impressive! Well, until you see a Tesla Model 3's owner "summon" is car, using his smart phone, from a parking lot, and the car pull out of it's spot, circle around the parking lot and pick up the owner, all with NOBODY IN THE CAR! I saw a Lexus my mother was considering purchasing, do this exact thing, but parallel park, back in 2008!
@craigeades3 жыл бұрын
I watched a Tesla owner try this at the local Trader Joe's while waiting in line to get in due to Covid. He and his girlfriend waited in front of the store for 20 minutes while his Tesla tried to back out of the parking spot only to retreat back into the parking spot over and over. Everyone was watching this 'show'. Finally the girlfriend walked to the other side of the parking lot and waited for the owner to go get the Tesla and drive it manually to pick up his embarrassed girlfriend. Good show.

So this technology can do something in a minute or two what a skilled driver could do in seconds..... and this is advancement?

Samuel Brooks the problem is many drivers aren't skilled.

@frankone977 жыл бұрын
Samuel Brooks it took this guy two minutes. As soon as you get experience, I'm sure it will be reduced also to some seconds. At least less then a minute. I would still park by myself, but this technology is statistically better and faster then human action.
