Whats the loss of efficiency like when battery to battery charging? Once you add in transport costs I wonder how much the advantages are. I'm very pro electric but sometimes the best way is a diesel generator

I generally agree. The BESS (Battery Energy Storage Solutions) may not work well for every jobsite. I've seen Generators proposed using Biodiesel which is lower-carbon, or Hydrogen Fuel Cell. I look forward to seeing different solutions tried-out.

This is the dumbest idea for many applications outside of a few short term jobs. If I cant run a larger excavator full a full 8 to 12 hour workday then I have to buy 2 or have downtown waiting on it to charge. Im not buying 2 of the same thing to get threw the day. They act like many companies have the budget to just buy extra to use half, especially now when work is slowing down due to interest rates
