instead of tapping the bearing with the chisel just put big enough socket over it and hammer it equally

I did the same king pin job and somehow I think i didn’t do it right because when I grease it at the end no grease came out between the axle and the spindle torqued the nut to 250 lb-ft. and it was very hard to turn the hub by hand. so I have some questions if you don’t mind. Aren’t you supposed to clean everything with a wire brush? Do you install the bottom seal and bushing on the spindle or you put them on the kingpin? Are you supposed to use any of the shims that come in the kit? If yes how do you know which size and where? Are you supposed to grease the bearing before installing? And last the nut on top are you supposed to torque it to specs if yes how much torque?

If it's too tight you should change the shim, you probably need a bigger size shim! if it's the right size shim you , can tighten it very much but it still will turn easy! Yes I am cleaning also but just with a regular brush🖌️, and I am tightening by feeling! But its tightened well!

How do you figure it out you need change the kingpin? Any leakage or vibration or sounds warn u out or engine light? And what is the main reason for this issue? Such as bad bumpy roads or to much hard rolling steering wheel. You are wonderful and keep going. Молодец

Jack up each front axle, and wiggle the tire to left and to right, up and down - see if there's any play, you will feel a free play if it's bad!

@@valeriumoscalu7580 I'm glad you said that, I was looking to see if anyone was going to mention you putting the bearing in dry. You didn't need to tap on the bearing with that chisel so much you can get a few threads exposed and use the king nut to draw everything up evenly with less whacking the bearing. Good work, guess there's no where to rent a torque wrench that big huh?
