What noise was this causing cos I have a clonking noise low drivers side when I pull away and break heavy , I can let go of the accelerator and ally it again at low speeds and it makes it clonk sounds like it’s coming form wishbone area so I’m thinking it’s this ?

This one is a very particular symptom… when you press the brake, you feel engine vibration through the steering wheel! Not really a clonk - 9 times out of 10 a clonk will be the drop link or track rod end… do you get the sensation of understeer on long slow corners? (That would say track rod end). The drop links are about 20 pounds… track rod ends, about 30… both easy jobs

@@bigtalltim no I just get a metal on metal clonking sound as I pull away like the noise a bad UJ would make that bad play in it but it’s low down drivers side wishbone area , it sometimes does it when I break too ! I’ve changed the lower front mount but that wasn’t it

Also steering is fine no pulling to one side and now vibration at all in the car just a knock when I accelerate away and also if I let off and then put it down again

There is definitely an engine mount that can clonk under load - the lower torsion mount (near the gearbox at the front - connects to the subframe) is another common one to fail; are you left hand drive? That would make sense from the description of driver side wishbone area… it is kind of like a dogbone shape… just 4 bolts secure it - it’s purpose is to smooth out engine roll… made of steel with a couple of high strength rubber bushes, but when they fail, it is metal on metal - could easily be your clonk!
