In regards to the Duo Props what my mechanic does and I plan on doing is drawing two lines with a sharpie marker. Draw one line where the two props meet and another where the forward prop meets the drive. This makes it super easy to line the props back up when you put them back on and the marker wears off pretty quickly. You could likely use a solvent too if want the marker off immediately after putting the props back on. Thinking about this you could likely do the same thing with pieces of electrical tape. Just put a piece of tape in both those locations and cut thru it with a utility knife at the joints. Line the tape back up when replacing the props and remove the tape.

The drain bolt at the bottom behind the propellers? It was an 8mm Allen head bolt.

You pull the drain first the the vent. And the reverse after filling. This will stop oil going all over the place and you

Install the props so that at no point both prop blades end up at the top together

That’s a good question. I’ve never tried it that way. I would be concerned about air bubbles being trapped and not showing the level correctly. But I guess you technically could add from the top?

Must be pumped from the bottom on most models but some of the older ones are filled from the top though.

Have you checked the fluid in the reservoir for the trim pump? That’s the first thing I would check. Then also check to make sure your battery is charged fully.
