Volvo Penta SX Owner rebuild failure

This is a lower unit an owner attempted to rebuild without any knowledge and unfortunately it was a complete failure. This is a short video on my first look of what failed and why.

Hi teds i have a problem in my d4 300 ips 400 the port engine start and run well when first start and after runnibg for 15 20min i slow down and try to accelatr the compressor struggle to transfer to turbo so i have to wait some.lins and give full throttle sudenly and so tried to swope rhe compressors and the problem remain same and bow i have a fault code MID 187 PSID 226 DATA LINK ,DATA LINK2 SOMETHING is it okay to do a auto configuratiom and do a lever calibrtion thank u

@vinuralakmal849 yes you can do an auto config. Sounds like the turbo charger is dragging

@vinuralakmal849 it is a sign of it starting to bind up, there is also a diverted air valve that may be partially stuck. It is in-between the blower and turbo air duct. Start there to ensure it opens and closes smoothly. Then I would replace the Turbo.

@@tedsmarinerepair8956 okay i will check it and today after auto comfiguratiom the boat rums good ,but the port side engine delay a few sec to give it to the turbo but now it work before it stuggle a lot
