Only 17 T in the 8 wheeler prime mover? I could get that in my 6 wheeler FL7 years ago running at 26T Gross..seems a very small payload for a 4 axle truck

This Volvo is a pretty sweet ride, but I just don't get why they didn't fill up the truck beds to capacity. So that they could hold more dirt on each load. IDK --- maybe that's just how they do it over there.

Lawrence German I can only assume that in terms of weight it was already fully loaded... still, 17 tonnes? that seems relatively pathetic to me... I'd expect a 20 tonne payload from an 8 wheeler, even with a 3-way tipper system

I've seen the same size containers on a piggy back slider truck brimming over with debris from construction sites over here in NY, and yet these guys seem to tip toe around with lightweight loads. It is what it is. I still love the versatility of the Volvo truck though.

I run an older Volvo (2007, I'm an owner operator, which means I own my truck and subcontract for other companies when they have more work than trucks) and I get 20.7 tonnes on, and my grandfather ran an old Leyland Constructor 8 and got 22.4 tons on that: personally I think it's pretty obvious that trucks are getting heavier

Yeah man, I saw it too, but Volvo makes a lot of these newer trucks with a power range that sounds wimpy, but the torque moving those wheels is awesome. Check out the Volvo Trucks KZbin channel to see how they do it.

У нас мусору накинешь 200 руб и можно дальше ехать с перегрузом. В цивилизованых странах такое не прокатывает, поэтому грузят как положено.
