I've had the opportunity to drive the FH13 440 6x2 hooked to two tanker trailers loaded with Diesel fuel, gross weight 57 tonnes on flat and mountainous terrain in Southern Brazil and the performance was great. I couldn't possibly describe the level of joy to hear and feel 750 horses on a big FH17.

​@@XouZ88road trains are mainly used in australia as their extensive railway network is mainly on the bigger tourist attractions, so transporting with rails are a hard thing in aus, but if you use a road train itll use less fuel than 4 drivers with the same weight as one driver with the same weight from the road train, and its overall cheaper to transport 4 loads at once without having to pay 4 drivers or more for the same amount of things

This is awesome. 750 tonnes. The equivalent weight of six fully loaded railroad hoppers. Except pulling them on tyres instead of railroad wheels makes it ten times harder! Bravo.

The extra friction plus the fact that truck weighs a lot less than a regular locomotives. Also I forget how much hp that thing has but a normal train has like 20k hp. The fact it can pull this is insane. 90% less power and 75% more friction and it still pulls.

The engine is probably one of the least solicited parts in all of this, it's basically just revving at its max torque RPM for several seconds, nothing spectacular honestly. The transmission is much more solicited

I have driven many Volvo trucks in my life and I can say that Volvo trucks has the most powerful engine ever with excellent stability and reliability. I have experience of driving trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2 for PlayStation, and I wish if could drive a Volvo truck in real life.

This is actually awesome! This shows how well made these trucks are if this is a straight from the factory truck. That was a huge load for the gearbox and the shaft to pull that much weight and it seems like nothing broke !

My uncle worked as the Manager in India for a Dam project where 20 Volvo trucks worked under him, I had an opportunity to see these mean machines in action as they hauled dirt throughout the day. This is such a sigh to behold, this sure has to be the most freaking truck pull I have witnessed in my life! You SWEDES do make one gem of a truck in the VOLVO! The torque and those CRAWLER gears are, a sight to behold at work! Cheers! Keep them rolling VOLVO!

Erm, no... Pushing? Chuck lent one of his biceps to the Volvo team for installation instead of an engine. This is the power of x1 Chuck arm cranking the gearbox manually. As you saw, even with the air brakes on, Chucks bicep would've happily torn some heavy machinery to pieces.
