I don't think I would have been able to get at the lower fuses without your video. Much appreciated thanks. To anyone trying this, mine was tricky. There's just two black tabs in play, one on the front and one on the side near the battery. The other light grey tabs don't need to be touched. The upper section slides into three or four slots and it seems to get wedged in these. Just be patient, don't force it and keep carefully pulling, rocking and gently levering with a screwdriver etc. You think it's never going to come out, then pop, out it comes. Fortunately, it's a doddle to put back.

You sir are a god send. Truly appreciated and I can't wait to give mine another go to find out. As I told my dad I refuse to take my car in just for it to be the fuse 😂. I hope to spread your video far and wide! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you Sir, just what I needed. Finally I can took out the headlamp washer fuse on my XC60. Strange enough on my S80 it was on the top section (fuse 24). On the XC is the bottom layer (fuse 8).

Hello Richard, I have the same problem to access the fuses below. Fuse 10 I have to check, my Diesel heater does'nt work. I can't get in contact with it at all, no faulty codes or message on the dash board, so I guess it does'nt have any supply. Now you really helped me :)

It's not the fuse and it's not the blower fan motor. It's your fan rotary control knob. It's gone. Take out the ccm climate control module from front of gearstick and strip it open. Need a new rotary switch that controls your fan speed. All volvo v70 with leaking windscreen has same issue. Relatively simple fix, if your good with a soldering iron.

is the HVAC fuse on that fuse box ? thanks! I've read that taking it out for a few minutes can sometimes fix no cooling !

I was really happy to see this video.. I did add per your video, bit I couldn't get it out, even with a spray of wd40.. I'll try again in a few days.. my issue is spongy, creepy brakes. I want to remove fuse 14, abs valves, and see if it improves ... If it does, I need a replacement abs module..

Worst cars ever designed by idiots! Today, I tried to remove the fuse for headlights washers (they wasting the windshield fluid), which is situated on the lower layer too, I did figure out those tabs, but one broke, so I gave up! Everything is plastic, breaks up in these low-quality cars. I bought it 2 years ago used and I replaced many plastic parts, battery cover, brake tank cover, air cleaner screws stripped the holes(another stupid idea to use screws in plastic) and so on. This may be one of the reasons, people in North America didn't buy them. Very frustrating cars to work on! Thank you for the video!

Sorry to hear that but thanks for the comment. I would just try to to get it dried out thoroughly inside and hope it comes back to life at some point. 🤞

wow I just did that it was VERY hard to get it out! There is a tab on the windshield side that is hidden very low., a black tab. the gray triangular tab on the grill side is a real bitch, you need to slowly pry from all sides little by little. The plastic is brittle. Once I got it out the little green fuse was also hard to get out. The little window fell off and the plastic got damaged trying to get it out. WD40 might have helped. Go slow and good luck.

If you have a look at my other video it explains in a bit more detail but basically I was able to spin the fan with a screwdriver and it was then ok. It was because it had been stood unused for a long time. Good luck.
