I've disassembled the V8 engine, and here you can see how the balance shaft is making the noise heard in the other video.

I was able to do this with the engine still in the vehicle. Miles were 143,021. The rear valve cover was hard! I didn't drop the subframe, and I tore the gasket getting it in, had the car back on the road, and had to disassemble it again to replace the gasket a second time to fix the massive leak. In retrospect, dropping the subframe seems like it would have helpled. The front bearing (by the timing chain) is NTN 6206C4 and the rear bearing that failed is NTN 6205LHA. 62 = 62 Light Series05 = Bore SizeLHA - Light Contact Polyacrylic Rubber Seals

Does the shaft come out the top or does it need to be removed horizontally?

Did you have to remove the radiator? I am having trouble removing the front cylinder head, seems stuck. Any advice?

How did you manage the rear valve cover? Did you drop the sub-frame?
