Great review Gavin! Autocar does the best comparison videos. For me XC40 would have been the perfect compact SUV if it had better rear seats. Also, a petrol variant would be an added bonus.

great review as always Gavin and thanks for signaling and driving well and setting a good example for other drivers. Personally I'd go with the Volvo too but not with that powertrain. All these noisy, slow, dirty, antiquated diesel engines are a complete dealbreaker. When Volvo releases the plug in hybrid, that's when it'll be a winner

I like XC 40. Then again, a month before it launched I bought Q3 LOL (didnt like the looks of X1 - maybe because it was parked next to X2 LOL; plus exes are louder than competition and their suspension is hard for NYC beat up roads). GLA is simply ugly for IMHO
