Vomiting Through the Nose | Is it Dangerous?

I was nursing my 1 month old, who needed to burp however I didn’t want to disturb her and pull her off for a burp.. the milk then started to come out or her nose! This was the scariest thing 😢.. i than held her hands up. So mad at myself for not stopping her for a burp, will never do this again.. happy to hear that this isn’t abnormal.. will advise her pediatrician this week. Thanks for the advisory!

Hi doctor,my baby is 46days old (35week+1.7kg male) now he is 2.6 kg.i feel his throat has some secretions stucked.l heard sound like this .his feeding,and sleeping well there is no breathing difficulty.he sometimes spit out the milk and have gas formation

Sir please reply as soon as possible I have vomited through nose after eating chicken. Will it cause any infection to sinus or brain infection if any small piece of chicken got to sinus cavity through nose?

@@bpr7442 Hey, It was mostly due to overfeeding the baby. I took a very long time to find this out. I'm assuming your baby is breastfed. As new mothers we are told to feed both breasts at a time right. I feel the problem starts there. We have no proper measure to see how much a baby has fed in one breast. Try limiting to one breast at a time and if the baby gets hungry in another 40 min to 1 hour, then feed from the alternate side. Once babies grow past 6 months, they themselves will know the limit n push breasts away when they feel full. This problem is only temporary and will definitely get better as they grow.

I have been through similar situations with my baby, It's not a big problem. If their nose seems congested after the nasal splitup, use saline drops to clear the nasal passage. Reduced the amount of time you feed the baby or the quantify of milk per feed. Also seat the baby like their head is near your shoulders when feeding..
