I can promise you that many RNLAF pilots watched this display and thought of the days when they would have been ordered to go hunt these MIGs down and litter the bottom of the North Sea with the charred, twisted remains of them.

The funniest part of that is how long anything the size of the RNLAF would last against an aggressor like Russia. It really is just fantasy, go look up the estimates of how long most of Europe would last under a sudden expansion, even now. Look what they gave a glimpse of in Syria.... noone thought they could do most of what they did. To underestimate Russia as backward and impotent is laughable.

Nah. They did not. Many American pilots flew the Mig-29 after the cold war, and concluded it was crap.

The Russians build airplanes that are not too fussy. They can take off on grass or gravel. You take them for granted and you will end up dead.
