Many guitarplayers become so fast, that when they show their skills - it stops sounding good. But not so here. It is amazing to see and wonderful to hear.

The heir to Johnny Winter. I'm a hard-core blues guy across all genres with Delta, Hill Country, Swamp, and early amplified Chicago as my favorites. Justin Johnson plays with that nasty raw sound and is in complete control of it.....that is mastery of the instrument. I'd like to hear him play with all the recording gear old 40s-50s tube and the microphones all hi impedence. Oh hell yeah!

I used to think that I hated blues until I realized there were sub-genres of blues. Come to find out that I do like Delta blues... the darker and swampier the better. Justin is the only modern blues player that I like. Other than him, you have to go old school...i.e. Leadbelly, Blind Lemon and Son House. Thank you for some new swampy blues!

Sgt, check out The Hill Country just above The Delta. You're in for a treat. First off, you must listen to Mississippi Fred McDowell. The most RAW slide master you'll ever hear with an unchanged sound from his Memphis Street playing in the 1920s till his death in 72. For the most part he wasn't discovered until 59.

Are you a God? The god of the guitar in the hat, who comes and works wonders with the help of a piece of wood on which the strings are stretched. I live on the other side of the earth and even theoretically I won't be able to hear this magic live. It makes me sad. It's very sad, but on the other hand, I'm very glad that you at least looked at KZbin
