Oh my gosh, this channel is one of my favorites for inspiration - when I’m missing my spark and need to get excited about patterns both new to me and what I thought of as “old news” before seeing your takes on them, or when I’m in a rut with yarn choice and suddenly see something from michael’s that actually looks beautiful, getting your stamp of approval makes me more confident in looking for box store yarns. I thought I was lucky when you started doing crochet spotlights all those months ago, showing off patterns I hadn’t come across for all these beautiful doilies and fun projects, but right now I feel like I’ve struck gold with all this beading!! I really want to get into it but right now I don’t have the money to buy all the necessary tools to start a new hobby, so I love seeing what you’re doing :-D I recently turned 18 and have been looking for a job so I hope that soon I’ll have the much-needed income to try my hand at new crafts, but for now I’m so ready to live vicariously through you!!!

Thank you so much, LaenKay, for that wonderful compliment! I’m so glad my channel helps spark your creativity and boost your confidence-it really means so much to hear that. Sometimes, all it takes is a little shift in perspective to see things in a whole new way. 🤗

Awesome video and sweater is beautiful. Oh I am definitely here for the beading. The owl bracelet is phenomenal and epic. I like the cushion earrings and the beading surrounding them. Beautiful work.
Wowsy wow such beautiful jewelry you're creating. Stunning owl bracelet. I have a black 60's bouclé wool coat with 3d owl buttons in silver. Just love everything with you. Thanks a lot. Heartly airhugs from Norhern Sweden. 🦉🖤🦉

I love all the beading things. I need to try. I also pronounced Potomac that way and a friend corrected me so I think that's pretty common. All the best, Kimberly

those buttons are so cool! amazing how they can take a fairly plain garment and make it something really unique and eye catching. i used to make a lot of bead jewelry in the early-mid 2000s as a teenager and hearing you talk about going to a bead store unlocked a lot of very nostalgic memories for me.

Good video! You should check out the Closet Historian here on youtube for her tutorials on Victorian-inspired beaded insects and her Gothic Victorian necklaces. Her sewing stuff is awesome, too. Also wanted to mention that your current hair color really suits your complexion. It's really lovely.

Hey loving the sweater! I’d reinforce the steak with a run of stitches on the sewing machine as it’s acrylic yarn. It’s won’t behave like wool and so won’t felt and I’d hate to see it come apart!! X

Hi Kristen, I was wondering about steeking your sweater…I thought the yarn needed to be wool for it work out and maybe not superwash. I am an aficionado of your yarn colors.
@VoolenvineАй бұрын
Hi, Clarissa! You’re absolutely right-steeking typically works best with wool, especially non-superwash, since the fibers naturally cling together and are less likely to unravel. That said, it really comes down to how slippery the yarn is. The yarn I'm using for the Eva Cardigan is so fluffy, that it's got some grip and doesn't unravel easily. Otherwise, there are ways to reinforce superwash yarn for steeking if you’re feeling adventurous! 😊 And thank you so much for loving my yarn colors-that truly means a lot! 🧶✨

Hi Kristen! Always love your videos & content! I just wanted to say (after hearing it many times here), curious to know if you knew what “Netflix and chill” actually means? I’m so sorry, I don’t mean this to be an unkind comment, I was truly wondering at this point and I’m sorry if that comes across unkind (I love and watch all your videos and think you are fabulous!), but I cringe a little every time I hear it, so thought maybe good idea to bring it up ❤️❤️🧶❤️❤️
@VoolenvineАй бұрын
Hi Caitlin! Not unkind at all-I really appreciate you pointing this out! Honestly, I had no idea about the original meaning of “Netflix and chill”-whoops! 😬🙈 I’ve only ever meant it to mean relaxing while binge-watching a TV series. Thanks for letting me know! 😊 #TheMoreYouKnow 💫

Actually Potomac is a Native American name and your original pronunciation is how the Native Americans say it. I live in Northern VA near the Potomac River so we hear the name a lot.
