Thank you for making this steek tutorial short to the point. You have no idea how many times l typed in steek and it comes up with people with scissors showing how to cut😂?

Thank you for a great video! Quick question, when you are picking up the stitches for the ribbing band, where do you pick? On the stockinette stitches or the stitches in the purl row? Maybe you can do a technique video on how you do that. Thanks.

Thank you this was very helpful😂. I was wondering when picking up stitches do you pick up on the purl stitch of the steel or the knit stitch on the cardigan just before the purl of the steek😊

Thank you so much for this tutorial! So hard to find one. I’m stuck on steeking for a cowl pattern two colored garter stitch dominat. First I only use one color per round, so when I come around to the steek (knit one st per color alternating) the other color is at the end. I’ve been pulling it across the back and securing it under a few knit st but the it’s a disaster. Any chance you can show how to do this with two colors? Thanks!!!

Question… did you start the steeking stitches after you divided for armholes or before? I’m dying to knit this cardi and I am not a Purl stitch fan 😂
@Gr8fldeadhead3 жыл бұрын
Can you do this for a panel of stockinette that has already been worked up quite a bit? I’m making a sweater and I’m so tired of switching stitches every row lmao and this is only my first panel
@Voolenvine3 жыл бұрын
As long as there's no crazy shaping happening around the edges, you should be OK inserting some steeking stitches for the remainder of the flat-knit work :)
@amaris-uhmariss-barela91182 жыл бұрын
But how do you do the other end? Do I bind off the steeking stitches and start on the cuff? I’ve worked the top and now I’m totally stuck getting to the bottom of the cardigan cuz idk what to do with the steek

What if I did the ribbing without adding steering stitches? How do I steek through the ribbing?
@blairmichaelis3 жыл бұрын
I hope this isn’t a stupid question. You’ve inspired me to try a long desired cardigan pattern to steeking since I’m also intimidated by all of the purl stitches. But if changing the cardigan pattern to steeking, would you knit extra rounds? For instance, with the purl row or WS row, would you instead knit a round and then the next round continue with the RS row instructions?
@Voolenvine3 жыл бұрын
Not a stupid question at all! It can be confusing at first ... You're not knitting extra rounds, but once you join your work in the round, all WS rows are now worked as RS rows. So now, when knitting a WS row, you'll want to knit the purl stitches and, likewise, purl any knit sts that come up. I hope that makes sense!
@blairmichaelis3 жыл бұрын
@@Voolenvine That makes perfect sense! Thank you so much for the clarification and all of the hard work you put into these videos for us. ☺️
