Thanks! I enjoyed your video as well, any plans to do some sort of finish on the guitar? Btw I still need to get you in the podcast.

Awesome. Whenever I purchase 2 of these PRS guitar kits I’m going to do one in the 5150 in the Red with the Black and White Stripes. And the second one will be Purple with Yellow and Black Stripes (5150) as well.
@CatPickStudios2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like we have very similar ideas here! Just make sure you paint those colors in the right order! Had my wife not corrected me I would have painted to colors in the wrong order and not gotten the results I wanted 😅
@vestel7772 жыл бұрын
@@CatPickStudios Oh trust Me I’ve printed pictures of the 5150 model. If I need to I’ll zoom in and enlarge it then reprint it on Glossy photo paper in order to get it just right. I also want to do 2 Les Paul Kit and paint it the same way.

Sweet build, but am I the only one who thinks it's nutty to paint in the house??
@CatPickStudios3 ай бұрын
Oh I’m the first one to admit that was a bad idea haha. Luckily that was part of the house where nobody lives, so I could use it for painting. If I ever do something similar again, I will find a different place to work at 😅

Looking good so far! and did you ruin your mother-in-law's walls with spray paint, yet? The mirror? there must be a mist somewhere that you didn't cover up lol
@CatPickStudios2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes, that's something I left off the video. I didn't ruin anything but the pink spray spreaded this weird pink dust EVERYWHERE. Luckily I was able to clean all of it and as you'll see in the next episode, I did cover more surfaces for the rest of the painting sessions. ;D And before you ask: yes, I'm still welcome to he place.

I was wondering myself. Maybe next time, hang sheets of plastic or paper around the guitar like a square paint booth. Do something nice for your mother in law! 😉

Looks sick man, but i wouldn't spray paint in the same room i sleep, is quite dangerous!
@CatPickStudios2 жыл бұрын
Haha no worries, nobody was sleeping in that room and won't be doing that in the foreseeable future.

Shouldn’t you paint outside or in a garage or somewhere overspray won’t mess up the house!?!? Well ventilated area!!!
@CatPickStudios2 жыл бұрын
This is exactly how I would describe me ;) And yea I should paint outside but it’s still around +4 Celsius outside here which is way too cold for paint to dry in reasonable time :/
@PooNinja2 жыл бұрын
@@CatPickStudios I thought as much as far as painting inside, I like doing the float the paint cans in hot water to keep them spraying nice but -4 ain’t good for anything paint wise. It looks killer. A friend of mine recently did the EVH style stripes on a used file cabinet… he said he spent more on tape than paint and the file cabinet combined 🤣 Have a great week Sir.

Very beautiful painting, are you going to take off the paint from the body binding ?
@CatPickStudios2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah the last episode will actually start with me scraping the binding. It made the finish look even better.
