Great video but one question.. do I need some interface for recording direct to the Pc if I use this mighty space???
@CatPickStudiosАй бұрын
You can actually use the USB cable to plug into the computer and the amp should show up as an audio interface.

Does it reduce its power output when operating on battery power, similar to the Yamaha THR?

Thanks for the review - very helpful. One question: can you use the drum-machine in combination with the looper ie. can you loop something with an incorporated drum-track?

Looks like a super fun unit, especially considering it has a pwr amp out to run whatever cab I want 🤘🏽. Love the battery giving you a truly wireless experience for places power isn’t available. A wireless footswitch is probably too much to as for someone who asked for the moon… and got it.

You can use a Bluetooth midi footswitch like the MWave chocolate to control it wirelessly I believe. I use it with the Mighty Plug Pro and it works well.

Hi dude! please give me a hint- You mentioned during that video that for bluetooth speaker functionality it is not maybe the best options- my observations through several videos about mighty space are that internal speakers are more like guitar cabinet mid-range rather than all-range speakers which we can find in audio playback-oriented gear. am i right with that assumption? did You had any chance to play f ex on Yamaha THR and if yes- how would You compare this two products? I guess NUX beats THR with functionality EASILY, but i would love to hear these two compared by the built-in speakers sound quality. For mi practise amp need to have ability to play backing track with full range, not muffling overheads and creating "boxy" effect.
@CatPickStudios Жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s exactly how I found the speakers and cabinet design: it’s clearly designed to be a guitar amp first and for that it works great. When listening to music it doesn’t have the rich deep sound we’re used to with the JBLs and such. I’m fine with that as I want an amp first, but it is something to take into account when choosing between all these amps. Unfortunately I have zero experience with THR amps. Somehow I’ve managed to avoid them for all these years, so I can’t really comment in the differences.

Strange that the USB out does not give the sound of backing track too? May be there a way to program it? I am not sure whether the different routing will do the trick?

I did try out couple different options when shooting the video, but there's always a chance I missed something. It would make sense for there to be an option to choose what gets recorded.

I just got mine and am having an issue with the TX wireless transmitter. I charged the unit with the AC overnight, and had the plus in the unit’s input jack. The next day when I went to play it, the wireless kept disconnecting my strat. At first I thought it was because my hand might have messed with on/off button, given a strat’s top-mounted jack’s position. However after a few more tries, it was clearly a battery issue. Sadly, I needed to use a cord, which meant I could not play and charge at the same time. After playing, I plugged the TX back in, but noticed this time there was no light indicating it was charging. I pushed the TX’s button to “on” but I found that it was not staying in… does anyone know if the TX is defective, the amp’s charger is defective …. or I f it’s ME that’s defective???
@CatPickStudios9 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your unit. To it sounds like it's either the transmitter's battery that has an issue, or there's indeed something wrong with charging. I would contact NUX support and ask for advice. In my experience they are fast to respond and you would probably be covered by a warranty as well. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much. i am working with the dealer to get this returned and a new one sent out. Fortunately, my few hours with it were so great that I am not considering switching to a competitor. I do have a few gripes though, that I feel are worth-sharing for others to consider: • I wish the USB-C cord could charge the unit. I mean... I have a 100W adapter that I use for MacBooks, etc... it would be so much cleaner if I could charge this without an ugly, clunky AC. The Might Air can charge this way - too bad this one can't. • I would love a way to check battery levels - for the unit itself, as well as the transmitter. How could you feel comfortable taking this to the beach if you are not sure whether you'll run out of juice?? And given that you can't charge via USB, there goes any hopes of extending your charge with a portable charger... • I love the effects, and the amp tones. But I wish there was a way to switch one/some effedts on and off within each setting. Meaning that to use this for live gigs, It would be tricky to use effects for certain songs unless you make preset 1 and preset 2 nearly identical, but remove FX from the second one. • This is a big one: Preset Interface is terrible! Colors for presets are THE WORST! I work with color for a living, but even I find it impossible to remember things like "Green is my clean amp, and the, uh... teal blue is my crunch? Or was it the dar blue? And the yellow is for my marshall... or is that color white?" Color blindness is a real thing - especially for the demographic of this! Why not just use numbers on the amp as simple Digital LED, like an old-school casio watch? I promise you, no one would confuse a ""3" for "Grean" ever! (Bonus points if they made each number have the option of an assignable color... ). So it's a bit of a mess trying to cycle through the presents looking at the amp, and not the app. • And of course the APP is not idea, either for presents. The layout for the 7 presents uses a grid layout of: 3 dots on top, 4 dots on the bottom. That leaves it ambiguous if "1" would be the left-most one, but on the second row; or if " 1 is the top row". It's just weird and could have been better. • The drum settings are pretty bad. Each needs to have an adjustment for "swing" to be truly usable. If I could add more drum loops, that would help... but I am not sure. • The jam tracks are pretty limited. I was not clear how easily I could add more or not... and if there's a certain file format that I should look out for. • I really wish there was stereo FX loop. That would make this a killer addition to my existing live rig. I know that sounds like a lot of major things, but it's more that I see the possibilities of using this live... which is more than I feel I could even ask for small practice amp! It's pretty awesome and a MAJOR upgrade from my old Yamaha THR 10C. I liked that one, but it lacked enough drive... and the effects were way too limited. Plus, you were tethered with cords: for power, for Aux input, and for your guitar. Anyway... I love your videos and hope these comments are useful to anyone considering this amazing amp! @@CatPickStudios

Choptones and Jimmy Lin seem to have bunch of them available. Some of them are free, some you have to pay for. I’m not 100% sure about this, but I think the answer is no. I had several sessions where I was using the amp on battery and when it was running out, I plugged in the power supply. I don’t remember there ever being any change in the sound or loudness etc.
