Pat The Bunny may very well be my favorite living musician. I fuckin love it... He pulls the right strings and even though I've lived a 100% different life, I relate, If not to the exact situations or stories, to the feelings he is feeling. And Ramshackle Glory, fuck man.... still can't get enough. I hope I never do. He has my 5 bucks, Downloading at bandcamp now.

Ive never heard this album..... Back in like 2007 i tried to book a show when pat was Johnny hobo and the freight. At my friend's venue.....he probably would have loved the scene.... I actually live pretty close to brat now.... It always kind if hit home that he had a song called harmony parking lot, and i worked at a place that was called the melody parking lot.....it feeled like a strange coincidence.... I hope hes doing well, he's basically our generations bill Wilson..... I love his brothers band as well

@edwinw84687 жыл бұрын
So late, but that's Never Say Surrender, the song is "I love You To Death." It's Benjamin Todd's old band, after Never Say Surrender, he formed Barefoot Surrender I believe. Now he's in Lost Dog, the last song he released last was "Using Again."

I love the songs so much but something happened in the mixing and mastering of this album that buried the vocals to where you can't understand them and the band and overall sound is so hollow. It's noticeable on Live the Dream too but not so much. Especially after the epic intro of this album and then when it goes into the first song it just loses magic. ahhhhh

@aprilhartman12288 жыл бұрын
Its the reverb they put on the vocals and then not on any of the instruments
@aidanmorgan59458 жыл бұрын
it's the sound they were going for.. if you listen to Douglas Fur's (their banjo player) album "The dried up rivers will be the mass graves of tomorrow" it has a similar sound. It's also an amazing album in my opinion.
@aprilhartman12288 жыл бұрын
The Douglas Fur album was produced slightly better than this, but still very poorly. I guess this is all just opinion, anyway.

Not gonna lie, I think the stories were a really bad call. No disrespect to the band or people featured. At a certain point it stops being experimenting with music because it isn't music anymore, it's listening to someone talk who's opinions you may or may not agree with for a long time when you want to be listening to music. Even if you like what they're saying, you might not want to hear it every single time you listen to the album.
@awesome-o72208 жыл бұрын
so just click past it if it bothers you. i know thats probably suggesting to much
@6obert-9056 жыл бұрын
If you are listening to ramshackle glory or pat then you probably agree with them and if not why are you listening to it? Other than that i agree it gets hard to listen to over and over.
@TC-sx2mg6 жыл бұрын
i mean, hip hop albums for the longest times had sketches... pretty easy to catch that a musical album could include some non-music interludes
@TC-sx2mg6 жыл бұрын
the stories can make it more uncomfortable to show it to people, but i think it's either intention or a happy accident -- it means if you're putting the whole album on you're showing it to somebody who's on the same wavelength as you, same wavelength as the album (i'm assuming that if you want to show this album to people you mostly agree with it) tho i guess i shouldn't assume that, considering how many trans people contributed to ramshackle glory and how awfully they were treated on the facebook group. but i stand by my statement regardless, because i don't understand impossible battles
