I have one of these in my bedroom to supplement the main heat in my house and I was shocked at how well it works. Quite and no hot spots. Plus, its cheap to run!

I agree. We are getting another one.. the small one... for the bathroom. The only time we turn hvac heat on is in morning for 15 minutes then we close all bedroom doors and run vornado in livingroom n kitchen all day. Very impressed. Cant run central heating cuz dirty sock syndrom smell bad. Saw you video... I had a polaris 700 and loved it.

Just ran cross your video. Was wondering; since yawl have had your Vornado heater for a year, if it’s still working as well as when you posted the video. I need one for the same reason. So I’m shopping for a heat for my tiny home, for emergency heat, when my mini split unit freezes up, in EXTRA COLD winters like we’re having.

There's a button in the middle of the back of this heater. It is not mentioned nor is its function described in the Vornado MVH manual. Have you any idea of its function? Otherwise, I, too, find this a very functional unit, helpful for providing direct area heat and allowing me to lower my general household heating thermostats.

I just bought one of these units at Home Depot for like $80.00 and expected the fan to be stronger and to push the heat further out into the room. I will use it for a few days and see how it does but if I don't see a noticeable difference in the temperature in my home I will return it and try something else.

For us, it kept our bedroom really warm with no other heat when 29 degrees outside. We had issues with getting the thermotat to be consistant turning off at same temp at night... got too warm. Had to get out of bed to adjust it.

Very helpful, thank you. The room size, outside temp. and the temp. that it holds inside was most important information for me. Have you used it in cold weather, say 20 degrees? If yes, how does it do? Thanks again.

Helpful tip: you can safely and securely attach the remote to the underside in between the cord storage. You’ll just need some Velcro tape to do it.

Good review. My parabolic heater just quit after over ten years use and am looking for the best value. Ones worth buying aren't cheap. Also important is how quiet the unit is and customer support. You sure have a lot of electrical current test equipment. Have a sensitivity toward it?
@LoneStarPrepping3 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you are asking about with "having a sensitivity towards it"?
@Broken_Arrow583 жыл бұрын
@@LoneStarPreppingSensitivity to electromagnetic field sources generally termed "electromagnetic hypersensitivity" (EHS).

@@Broken_Arrow58 yes it is very sensitive, but I bet most heaters are. I plan to do an EMF test again on a new adjustable bed I have.
@Broken_Arrow583 жыл бұрын
@@LoneStarPrepping I meant you, not the heater.
@LoneStarPrepping3 жыл бұрын
Not that I know of. It isn't a matter of sensitivity for me. Its a matter of negative effects on a person's health without knowing it. If there are ill effects, it would apply to anyone. That said, I had one person tell me she did feel the affects of high emf exposure as she was exposed.

I bought one a few weeks ago but unfortunately have not had the same good results. Trying to heat a small bedroom that's 10' x 10". Although it will eventually get warmer, I feel it is not putting out that much heat regardless of which setting I select. Can someone tell me if the coils behind the vent should be red when turned on?
@LoneStarPrepping3 жыл бұрын
I did not notice red. It is a small heater. It can take some time to get a room really warm. I believe they make larger heaters. It kept us from freezing during the winter snow storm in Texas Feb 2021 just using it when power came back on with rolling blackouts.

Make sure you're using a very heavy duty extension cord if you're using a generator. Using a thin gauge extension cord will cause a fire.
@LoneStarPrepping2 жыл бұрын
I dont use an extention cord. I have my generator running on a transfer switch. All I have to do is plug the heater to any outlet in my house. Not a good idea to use an extention cord.

If we can get the switch OUT in any way, or if we can open the housing in some way that gives us access to the switch, then we should be able to fix it or replace it. DIGIMARK is a supply company that will have a GAZILLION switches to choose from. A repair job might not end up as pretty as the original switch, but who cares about that as long as it works, right?

5 years warranty on it with exceptional customer support. Search for Vornado customer support and give them a call, you would be surprised. For most customers they just ask that you cut the cord of the defective unit, send them a picture of it and will send a new one, free of shipping, nothing to do on your end. They might ask for a photo of the original receipt, not sure, but I figure it can't really hurt to try.
