Picking a scout to disguise as a spy infront of the enemy team has got to be one of the dumbest things i've ever seen. Literal "HEY LOOK AT ME, IM SPY" sign strapped onto your back.

While dumb and obivious.. you do it for these benefits: 1: You aren't trying to HIDE you are a spy (mostly dead ringers), you are using it to avoid sentries. 2: Scout's head hitbox is lower then that of a spy compared to other classes. Ergo headshotting a disguised scout spy is HARDER to headshot since you have no visual indicator where the spy's actual head is. And most snipers click heads on instinct, so giving them a possible 2 seconds of confusion.. might save you in the long run. 3: "X+5 spam to annoy engineers" But seriously... Spy's like myself don't disguise as scouts to "pretend to be an enemy" We take it since scouts get less spy checked since it's OBIVIOUS (thus less pyro chasing) and to confuse snipers to not Headshot us. Basicly put.. you are trading obiviousness in for avoiding to being shot in the head. And yes "LOOK AT ME, I AM A SPY" is a strategy too, especially with deadringer spy's :P But mostly it's to avoid being headshotted by snipers. The better the players... the worst your disguises will fool em. Better be obivious about it and avoid being headshotted no?

Started playing tf2 again about a month ago after not touching the game in a literal decade. The experience was rough, me thinking half the players are hackers. After getting your vids in my recommend tho and watching a few i realized that there are just people with sick aim out there. Also liked the how to spot hacker vid you made recently (forgot the name). Even though i have too litte gameknowledge at the moment to accurately spot cheaters it was insightful. Nah ever since your silent aimbot vid dropped I've seen a very small amount of clueless players assuming people were using silent aimbot even if they legit. Cannot tell if it's just a coincidence or it might be linked, either way it's entertaining to watch people accuse people of cheating cuz they're just too good.
