I'm extremely late to the party, but wanted to say thanks for trying to benchmark Vorpx performance. One thing I would have liked to see is the VRAM usage difference between pancake and G3D mode.

2 things 1:good video, it gives me a pretty good idea of what performance to expect. 2: have you tried praydogs vr mod for resident evil 2,3,7 & 8?

I have actually! I love praydogs vr mod! I’m in the works of making a video of Resident Evil 2 running in VR and testing it across the other games in the series. I love that praydog added VR controller support as well. Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate you checking out the channel!

Woah, your quest 2 results are perplexing to me. IDK why it was struggli9ng there. Was this through Oculus Link, Air Link, or VD?

Yeah idk what was going on with it. I found it strange as well. I was using oculus link since I wanted a hard tether to the machine. I figured air link or virtual desktop would use to many resources but oculus link used quite a bit by itself.

Ive got vorpx still trying to figure out how to get some gamea to work . Plus for some reason it won't recognise y oculus quest 1

Is there something wrong about my setup because in game Vorpx makes it feel like I'm looking thru some kind of bubble vision. It doesn't look 3D, more like a fisheye lens.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your setup, might have to tweak some of the settings in vorpx. Load up vorpx then load up the game in question. Once everything is loaded up and you have the headset on go to vorpx settings, default key is the delete key. Make sure it’s in full 3d mode and mess around with the 3d strength, fov, and I think there is a option for depth of field as well. You may have to tweak the settings to get it comfortable with your headset. I’ll try to help as best as I can.

I have an RTX 3080 Ti and can't get a game to run with vorpX. Wasted my money.

i got vorpx for a year,games keeps crashing after 30 mins playing,amd ryzen 5950x,32 ram,rtx3090 ti,it make me sad because I enjoy play games in vr with the HP reverb g2.

I've had vorpx for 2months black Mesa is my favorite right now. The problem is it hurts my brain most the time.

If on Quest 2 make sure the headset's IPD slider is right. I had mine wrong at one point and it caused headaches.

Very interesting subject. I always run Vorpx on my 4.1 to 5.1 MacPro FrankinTosh, with Intel Xenon 5690 @ 3.59 GHz, 6 Core, 12 Threads, 32 GB RAM, 4 1GB SSDs, GTX 1070/8GB running all Games & VR on Win10 in Bootcamp, HMDs for PCVR - Rift cv1on openTPcast, Quest II on Airlink :) What should I say - thanx to Ralf Vorpx runs fine. 8:32 That's Asynchronous Spacewarp kicking in because you're unable to maintain 120. Same reason you're getting drops in Portal. You can't do a benchmark with that on, my dude. You're also not even using the same resolutions in this "benchmark". None of this has anything to do with VorpX, so the title of the video is all wrong.

I'm yet to get even one game to work properly in Vorpx. I have a very high end system i9 48 GB ram etc. Playing Serious Sam VR with Vive pro2 is crystal clear. Go from that to any game in Vorpx its terrible. Although Black mesa is working pretty well but its all jaggedy - Nah sorry Vorpx sux.

I looked into il-2 a little bit and battle for Stalingrad has native VR support. I’m still going to look into the dover bundle to see how it is with vorpx but I figured I would let you know about the native support with Stalingrad.

@@FTLOG418 yes I have il2bos and all the DLCs .I'm already playing the game with vr using the quest 2 and virtual desktop i also have the link cable but VD is way better .but unfortunately COD is not in vr yet and of course even though I have all of il2bos I want to fly the battle of Britain typical 🙄
