The IDC connector on the speeduino v0.4x you have there in the video was not meant to be used in that way. It's meant to run a breakout with an actual IDC 40 ribbon cable. Probably why you didn't get a solid signal. The IDC works well because it is so universal for diy breakouts. When the speeduino was created it was aimed at sub $100 if home made.
@Calvin-Nelson4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I disagree with me not using as it was intended. There are several builds on the forum that do it that way I tried to, and had success. Either way, it is still not a suitable ECU connection in my opinion. 22gauge wire is not enough.

You seem to be pretty smart on the ECU stuff. I have a question if you would. Are any of those or do you know of any ECU that are home tunable that would run a diesel? I have a 7.3 that I want to swap to a better injection than the huei system. I am thinking common rail would be fairly easy to do.
@Calvin-Nelson4 жыл бұрын
That's tough. I've never really messed with diesels. I imagine the injection timing is the most difficult thing. Not too many ecu's are set up for that. I can't say I know of many ecu's that have diesel options.

Yes and he sorted out all the fuel pump circuitry which you have to add to the proto area of the production Speeduino boards. It's a way better product. It has some bugs, but it is vastly improved.
