I've accidentally dropped my Vortex Sparc AR Red dot through my own stupidity and cracked the glass. I contacted Vortex and told them what happened. They had me send it to them, and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. They have a loyal customer for life just because of that warranty and customer service... Ok

This review is what made me choose to buy the Vortex Crossfire Red Dot Sight for my AR-15 .300 AAC Blackout. I wanted a good quality scope that was very small and lightweight for a rifle that will not shoot much farther than 100 yards so this seem to be a good choice. Thanks for the honest review!

I've got over a half dozen various red dots and realized it's my favorite with its dial so much faster getting into action than the pushbutton models.

I own 8 vortex optics, from rifle red dots. Pistol red dots and lvpos. I have had zero issues with any of them, but have needed things like replacement lens caps and screws over the years. Vortex always helps me out with these things. Excellent customer service. With that being said I own 2 crossfire red dots. I run one on my primary rifle on an American defense 45 degree offset mount. Next to a strike eagle 1-8 LVPO. This set up is excellent. I also have one installed on a glock pattern ar9 I built. Once again great product. I also own aimpoint and trijicon optics. For the money vortex is an excellent product and every one of my firearms currently is running vortex optics.

Just got one but haven't shot it yet. I'm on the net looking for info about the scope (changing batteries, zeroing etc). The big thing this video taught me was that, after kindly bore sighting the scope onto the rifle I purchased, the Cabella's GCG failed to return the manual and allen key to the box! That's why I'm wasting time looking for info that I should be getting from the missing manual!

I own the Crossfire, and it's a pretty good 'entry level' red dot. Just bought the VMX-3T magnifier as a result... And when I upgrade both? They'll most likely be Vortex products

My Browning Buck Mark came with a Crossfire installed. Unfortunately, while it came with the lens cap, there was no manual (or lens cloth) included. One can view it online in PDF format but it's not the same as being able to put your hands on a booklet.

I have this sight on a ruger pc carbine in 9mm , with the high mount I can see my iron sights straight underneath the red dot , which is a huge plus, being as the pc carbine is a takedown and the rear sight sits infront of the red dot , making cowhitnessing impossible .

Oooo so it’s Night Vision compatible? So if I have NVG the red dot still has the “dot”, just IR? Do I need to buy NVG now? 👀 Edit: can someone explain this? Cuz I know I could see the red laser light coming from the optic last night when fiddling around with it. So the two NV settings use IR then? The manual didn’t mention anything about the two night vision settings…

I just received this exact red dot yesterday and was going to return it. The brightness knob is very hard to turn and you have to put it on at least 6 to even see the red dot and to turn it off you have to turn it 6 clicks back to 0 and 6 clicks to turn it back on. But I discovered if I just turn it half way between 6 and 7 it appears to turn off and to turn it back on you just turn 1/2 click to 6 or 7. I'm going to contact Vortex customer service to ask if doing this is ok. Does anyone else do this?

The same question was answered under other youtuber review for this red dot. Vortex says it's fine to put it 1/2 as it's only breaking the circuit

I bought one for my Zenitco build wasr10, price was 160 at Dunhams, actually nice red dot for the price, I like the on and off switch you can easily use it with gloves on. I bought this optic over the SIG Romeo 5. Honestly I prefer this red dot over my eotech xps2 and my Russian military surplus 1p87. It's no holosun though I wish I could have spent the money on a holosun red dot the crisp clean dot is amazing. It's no eotech, or Russian 1p87, it works. I have to turn the brightness too 9 just to get the brightness, I believe the battery it comes with isn't that great. The night vision settings work great with my black and white pvs-14 nvg nods on my ops core level III helmet. The other nice thing is windage and elevation adjustment very noticeable, unlike most red dots, I had to sight mine in for my AK it was almost near perfect, but needed to be centered on elevation and windage. It was low right.

Vortex lifetime warranty, sig romeo has 1 yr warranty, but shake awake just got to weigh that out. I chose the vortex

I have the Romeo 5, chose it over the Vortex for the shake awake feature. At at certain angle, the R5 has a reflection that is distracting & obscures the sight picture. Given the battery life of the Vortex, I'll be making the switch & I'll just leave it on at all times.
