I've seen the comments suggesting that your reviews are sponsor biased. It's a petty and unwarranted allegation that is disrespectful of the time and energy required to create a good quality review. That said, I was glad to hear your message that you simply do not review products you don't like. Personally, I believe there is value in reviews that present the good, the bad and the the ugly, but your position explanation is reasonable. It is an explanation you might repeat in future videos to assure your audience fully understands that position. Another option would be to include that explanation in your video caption summary. Nice review of the Aimpoint T2. Another product that demonstrates the old adage, "you get what you pay for".

Great video. Thought the Trijicon MRO was a game changer per your review of that red dot. The 25mm objective makes it not look like a tube and the sight adjustments are recessed so no caps to lose. I went with the Trijicon MRO on an American Defense QD mount. Either way, Aimpoint or Trijicon, you can't make a mistake.

I purchase an Aimpoint micro H1 several years ago. Back then, it was nearly six hundred bucks. I like it, but money is an issue and these are just too expense. The Aimpoint Pro is my choice for my duty carbine while the Primary Arms Advanced Micro sits on several of my HD carbines.

@acemace36182 жыл бұрын
I used to hate magnifiers because I thought they made red dots really fuzzy. Turns out I was just using crappy cheap red dots as it wasn't until I tried an aimpoint t2 that I realized the red dot is super crisp and using a magnifier is much more pleasant

I honestly like my trijicon MRO more than my H-2. I'm not saying aimpoint is junk by any means, because it is not. However I am saying that when you factor in price, the on/off dial on top, no caps for the elevation and windage dials and the bigger objective lens I think the MRO is the winner.

It's not hating. I've been subbed to Sootch since about 2010, and in all that time I NEVER seen a "thumbs down" or even ANY criticism of products he was reviewing! When you are "trusting" someone's HONEST opinion or review of something you may be thinking about purchasing, and you've come to realize that someone NEVER criticizes or gives a product a bad, hell even a "middle" rate, you start to wonder. This is something I started to point out in the comments a while back. So I'm GLAD he addressed it! I like the guy and love the channel, but honestly, I started wondering WHY no bad reviews and seeing how much gear the guy gets! It started making sense. I stopped watching his reviews as a "trusted" reviewer, cuz I already new that he was going to talk all about its good points and give it a thumbs up. I still watched, but went elsewhere tho get what I felt were more HONEST reviews and not an "Infomercial"! So to point out he ONLY reviews what he likes helps, I guess.

Thanks for hanging in there Mark. My reputation is most important so that's the change in the format. It has to be something I'm excited about to put together a review. There are always things I will mention that I don't particularly care for but most are just personal preferences. I try to stick with the features and no opinion unless it's a design flaw or poor quality. I have too many friends that buy from my recommendation and will not say anything that isn't true. But as always, watch every review you can before buying anything. Take it easy.

Steven Peterson The T2 glass seems clearer with less of a green or bluish tint. The built in lens protectors are nice. I don't mind either of them. I have three separate rifles set up with T1, T2 and MRO. The top knob is nice on the mro and the large front lens is nice.

parallax on aim point is off had a good zero with the dot in the middle of the glass so doing training run and shoot stand in shoot but when it came to using parallax to shoot from under cars I noticed that aim point was off by 10 in while Trijicon an EOTech we're only off about an inch although the AimPoint I relief was infinite and it did take the outside abuse that I put it through so it's a great plinking toy or target practice. that's about it. don't be pressured into buying something that doesn't really work
@DavidMN-8 жыл бұрын
"As far as price for the Aimpoint... these guys are super quality..." haha, I think you are justifying Sootch :-) As a guy who has spent extra for quality, I totally get it. Hey ignore any heat for giving thumbs up or only releasing positive reviews - the amount of time for product testing and video editing to review bucket loads of kit just so that you also have negative reviews can be prohibitive with regards to how much your subscribers enjoy your output and look forwards to more. Other reviewers release plenty of objective mixed reviews but I'm sure I'm not alone in subscribing to certain channels for the specific reason that I would like to see what products they really like rather than wade through lots of "fails."

Considered the Micro years ago until I saw the price. Then promptly went to the Aimpoint PRO for my home defense Colt M4. The PRO isn't cheap at $400. I guess if I was in the military, and had a rifle with grenade launcher, etc, etc, and weight was a concern, I'd like a Micro provided by taxpayer dollars. 2 MOA dot on my PRO as well. Really dig you reviews, Sootch, but the PRO's battery life is three years. And I leave mine off most of the time. Trust me, a Micro would not make me a better shot than my PRO does. Not knocking you, Sootch, but The Aimpoint PRO is also parallax free. Can shoot VERY well with both of these 62-year-old eyes open with my PRO. I just don't get your gushing over this review. Just sayin'.

Maybe once a month you could do a quick video on the products that are "thumbs down", with a brief explanation of why. Don't waste any time on it, just give your reasons and then get out. Of course, then you'd have to deal with the hurt feelings of that product's fanboys, so you probably wouldn't gain anything. Oh, well, never mind.

have you tried the primary arms HS515CM..? seems to be the best bang for buck option out there yet i havent seen one person talk about it...? same quality aluminium as the aimpoints and trijicons much better than the eotechs in my opinion.. 50,000 hours Nd solar recharge.. red dot or circle dot options, can be found new for less than $400.. you cant beat its quality for the price tbh
