When you didn't post for a while at the beginning of the year I got a little worried but you are a mad man with all the videos you have put out! Great work as always

looks like a real good head, i would trust that one. im glad they went with a simple o-ring rather than some ridiculous complicated internal spring and pins type deal, that you have to order replacement parts from the factory every time you shoot it.

That’s the most damage I remember seeing on a concrete test. I think this is a great head, wish they’d make a 3 blade version
@LuskArcheryAdventures8 ай бұрын
Yeah, that didn’t fair so well in the concrete test. But that’s not the most important durability test. It is interesting and noteworthy just the same.

Could be a solid head for elk. That is if you're looking at getting away from a fixed blade.

I agree, awesome penetration for a mechanical.

@IIDASHII9 ай бұрын
It's rare that I disagree with you (and apparently everyone else here), but this head seems like a solution looking for a problem. It has all the drawbacks of a fixed-blade in flight and all the drawbacks of a mechanical on impact. The only upside I can see here is that it has the wider cut of a mechanical, but one can get that with several other mechanicals that have far less surface area and better durability.

I understand your thoughts. That’s how many feel about Hybrids.
@BriceDudley9 ай бұрын
Looks like a great broadhead but just personal experience with big durable o rings if they don’t break they roll down the shaft and slow down and decrease penetration a lot and not allow arrow to fully pass through which it still is lethal but usually cost you an arrow when it breaks sticking out of animal and running almost every time
@optimuscrime6089 ай бұрын
Ballistic engineer here.. There’s not possible way that tiny o ring is going to do ANYTHING to slow down penetration of an arrow traveling 250+fps. Trust me. Even if the arrow was traveling 50fps that o ring wouldn’t affect anything. It’s just too small . Your good 👍🏼
@coryedd37839 ай бұрын
I must agree with Optimus. Your blades on any head have already made a hole MUCH bigger than your arrow shaft let alone that tiny o ring
@LuskArcheryAdventures8 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing that. But I don’t really think that O-ring would impede penetration in any quantifiable way. If it did, it would show up in the mediums, I test penetration with a lot more than it would in an animal. And it didn’t seem to be a problem in my penetration testing.
@godslittleman54519 ай бұрын
Alt,bough it may be a great choice for a survival broadhead that will last a long long time, the cutting diameter needs to increase to 1 3/4. 2 would be really nice.

Good to know what happens if you miss or pass through and hit a rock
@LuskArcheryAdventures8 ай бұрын
I think it’s a worthy test to do. It’s important to see how a broadhead fails. It’s a good test of its structural integrity. I’ve seen Broadheads get much more mangled in an animal than they do on a cinderblock. But it only counts for 3% of the score. I do not consider it, super important by any means. It is interesting to watch.
