Hi Rita....are you not concerned about the dust inhalation with soft pastels? they are highly toxic ...i read recently, that pastels are probably most dangerous...the dust flying...inhalation ! please comment. I love pastels but the dust and mess is depressing

@@sujanithtottempudi2991 i believe if you're concerned it's best to be checked by your Dr regularly. I think different people are more sensitive to lung issues. I've been using pastel since I was 11, but I'm not in the habit of worrying about how I'm gonna die lol. We all gotta go sometime, somehow, and so far I still love pastel and I'm still breathing fine. That said, I do use a hepa air filter in my studio, and I try not to blow on my paintings. I know some other artists who use the Artists Air Air purifier www.artistsair.com/, which is on my wish list. I also use nitrile gloves which have been helping to keep my hands clean and soft 😎

@@sujanithtottempudi2991 BTW, not all pigments are toxic, here's an interesting discussion on wet canvas www.wetcanvas.com/forums/topic/toxicity-in-pigments-regardless-of-medium/page/2/ You can also do a search for non-toxic pigments
