These are 3 different commercials all gearing towards different audiences and tones, and in today's breakdown, I'll talk about some thoughts behind each one, along with a general scene breakdown of each one. 1 inspires and properly shows off the game. 2 is a secondary commercial for social to show how to play but not to hook you in / motivate you to buy

Congratulations on these full day shoots! 1 is my favorite as a gamer, helps me understand what I’d be doing in the game. 2 has some great shots! I could see it being a bonafide Super Bowl commercial! 3 is an amazing hook. I’d love to see you experiment with mic’d actors impromptu script storylines. This one starts with inviting friends to the table it could end with some audio of them laughing. “Easy to drop-in, easy to create comforting story moments” would be a fun exercise in audio engineering

#2 for sure is the winner to me. Short, sweet, and to the point + it gets me interested in the game from the perspective of the player that I could be.

Thank you for sharing these insights into the choices you made for these videos! It's very interesting and also fun to see 'behind the scenes', especially after I had already seen the commercials on the Open Owl channel (and immediately recognised your style!). As for the three commercials, I really love #1 which feels magical and is all about the game. It also just looks amazing in every shot and shows me what I would get. It makes me interested in looking up the game. This is definitely the one I can see playing as a commercial on KZbin, social media, a crowdfunding campaign header, and even TV. Commercial #2 and #3 I like a lot less, because the players actually distract me from the game. If I don't know anything about the game yet, I need the actual game to draw me in and not the players (after all I'm not joining their play group!). I do think #3 in particular could be useful on a campaign page or webstore page, after having seen an introduction to the game, to show what it could look like to have players drop in and quickly set up, but it feels like a commercial to highlight certain parts of the game more than show off what the game is. Commercial #2 felt too much like it was about showing off this gaming group, that just happened to be playing Mythwind but it could just as easily have been a different game. I guess it all comes down to the fact that in order to be interested in the game, I need to imagine myself buying, opening, learning, playing it, and that is a lot easier without any recognizable players in the video, since then it feels like any actions, movement of pieces, etc. are done by me and not some person in the video. That might be a very personal issue, but regardless I feel that commercial #1 just does a way better job at showcasing what you'll get in the game.

Great job as always :) Personally I like commercial #1. However, I prefer more calming music from #3. Although, #1 music kind of creates very exciting mood but as a person who is looking to buy this game, I want this game because it looks like peace and relaxation to me. Like I will slowly enter the world that doesn't stimulate me to be on my toes but actually makes me want to stay. However, all 3 are fantastic work from you. I am definitely a fan!

#2 immediately caught my attention. It felt warm and inviting. I loved it. *I Vote For #2* #1 was nice, but a bit boring. #3 felt unfinished.

I like #2 for the reasons Adrian said above. I also liked how you could hear a little of them laughing behind the music! I also liked the idea of #3 but it was a little long for me. #1 was a classic commercial but the other ones gave me a more cozy feel of playing the game.

I am on the #2 boat. It's giving me a coming together to a casual game day (happy, relaxed feels), while giving enough information about the game to entice me to find out more.

The first one just singings to me. I personally feel the people in the other 2, just make me feel “disconnected” that might make other feel the opposite. For me it took away from the magic of the game. Idk maybe the people could have been in costume 😅.

Some feedback on 3rd one from some dude you don’t know, on the Internet. Take it for what it is… I don’t think you actually did what you set out to accomplish with the 3rd video. Your stated intention was to show that people could enter play in the middle of the game. However, there’s no explicit gameplay show, that someone who has never seen/played this game would recognize as such, until after all the people sit down. Furthermore, the reverse video of dice rolling communicates the winding back of time - so other people can join? Also inconsistent with stated goal. I love where you’re going with the storytelling idea, and that’s one reason why I always watch your videos, because that kernel is present. In this case, in my opinion, you didn’t tell the story that you intended. Needs a re-edit to do what you intended (e.g. I would show dice roll & placement + characters on a map before all people sit down. Potentially loose 4 person entirely.)
