I found that comforting because procedures were followed. MTG is recognized and begins to offer her resolution. Booing. The booing was childish, and the podium suspended action of all until order was restored. This is a measure of respect that all congressmen & women deserve. And then he returned to MTG, who read her resolution. Efficiently. A motion to table the resolution; a vote. A call for ayes & nays. approved on sufficient number standing for it. Electronically obtained. Ayes overwhelmingly. resolution tabled. Was it a waste of time? No! it was short, handled well, and effectively moved the Congress from the politics back to whatever work they need to be tackling. yeah--this was a relief.
