A system for choosing a leader must not divide the people and thus weaken the State. The process of Shurah allows for a choice to be made without a division of the people into rival waring camps. But the whole world has today abandoned the system of Shurah. The results are clearly visible.

One man one vote is a deception a hypocrisy the tool of dajjal. Shurah will always be the leaders of the society who will decide and rule on the basis of Islam in an Islamic society. In a Godless society sure there will be no shurah but a mob or a gang or some elite who will always create chaos and confusion in order to divide and rule.

In India we have elections every five years, and the ulema in their jumuah khutba tell the muslims to stand in queues and vote for a secular political party which brought freedom to India against the British. Since I am a history , economics and political science graduate, I knew the political theories of west. The ulema in India have made muslims look like some fifth column now, the justification is choose the lesser evil. Allah help us all

I applied because pressure around me but i din't get it. So i am thankful to allah for that. After here in our country when tabligi jamaath split into two and when I came to know that this is also a firqa . I started listening to your bayans from 3 years. Dear Shaykh Imran, I completely agree with you. I listened attentively to your video and noticed that you always mentioned voting in the modern secular state. I have a follow up question, which is purely theoretical. Suppose you have a muslim state that forbids riba and the modern banking system and has dinar and dirham as gold and implements the full sharia. Could the leader of that state be elected through elections ?

Neither the Qur'an nor the Sunnah have prescribed a specific way through which a head of government is selected. Whatever be the way that is chosen, it must conform with the requirement of Shurah or Consultation.

Forgive me for the harsh words beloved brother. Does the lecture need to be repeated rspected Professor? Are you hard of hearing? is the modern concept of democracy in the Qur’aan? When abu bakr may Allah be pleased with him, was elected by the people did he stay for a year before someone else was re-elected? when omar ibn khattab may Allah be pleased with him was elected by the people…. did he preside for a 4 year term before new elections? This question is not far from……. if we gather to remember Allah and his Messenger then surely since the intention is right then we can do it over a glass of brandy (a favourite amonst many elites in pakistan). Nay - intent and methodology are BOTH in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. withoit both - the result is misguidance. And Allah knows best.
