VotV fans can't handle their favorite game getting criticized

The dev and community is literally why I lost interest. Great game that is only getting worst with every update even with new content. A step forward but two steps back. People often use the excuse it is in alpha but with the mindset they have they are fully accepting the foundation of the game to be awful on the full release and be EXTREMELY hard to changed for the better. For alt games I recommend UFO Sightings Simulator, The Long Drive, Dishwashing Simulator and while lacking in horror elements it is still kinda uncanny while still being fun with lite survival elements The Coin Game. Nose need to learn he is not only a big fish in a small pond but the other fishes actively in said pond are exclusively there to suit his own wants. He think he made something amazing when ironically the last time he did such like at least a year ago at this point. I love what Runescape used to be until Jagex decided to be both membership and microtransaction based and I used to love Maplestory until Nexon decided to make the game borderline unplayable and clearly have no intentions of fixing it. I seen fully funded companies far larger than Nose ruin their game yet somehow Nose believe he is somehow incapable of doing so himself. It is very possible to love a game but hate the company/dev(s) due to incompetency. I love VOTV extremely much but the game is a lost cause. I see Maplestory have a better chance of reviving to put it bluntly to give an idea of how low my hope for Nose is. His ego is far too inflated to understand that kids are stupid and hell even most adults don't even know what they want in terms of gaming. He added transformers just to counteract it with Omega Kerfus (not that Kerfus is even useful for transformers but the point of them was to get players out of the base, can't speak for other people but hashcodes/server fixing had me out way more than the once per three days transformer button press), he added the funny settings to prevent chat to tell streamers to do like 20 things in the console for the easter eggs (which doesn't even help) THEN add even more easter eggs in. He seem to hate dataminers and people solving his plush requirements but give literally no hints ingame and keep adding insane requirements that requires datamining. Have a gold bar item that borderline can only be obtained by outright cheating with a 3rd party program as not even sandbox give you access to it, opening the floodgates of why not just cheat for everything at that point? Nose did some things right, tablets hinting (even if poorly) at how to get runes and Erie Zone at least giving you a keyword to google to find out what it is. But for everything he does right he does like 10 other things horribly wrong. People love the slow burn days and sound design with borderline non-existing jump scares. He don't seem to understand that though as recently he make old events happens even sooner and later events basically happen back to back, made jump scare events and stuff like the boars that more or less just exist to ruin the game as a whole by becoming a stereotypical "kill the monster" game. I honestly think Nose accidentally made a good game by simply having a version that was just the frame with as few of his horror ideas as possible. The more the game fit his vision the less enjoyable it becomes. He just an awful game designer who thought fans wanted more of his ideas not understanding they want more of what he accidentally created instead. And it is hard to tell him such when he have like 100+ kids who likely unironically think more backrooms floors or SCP monsters that can insta kill you just by blinking is better horror be telling him that he is doing good by turning a slow burn tension based game into a slasher gore filled slop with a monster of the week setup but in a freaking video game form. The game HAD potential but like I said before I honestly believe Maplestory would get better with the help of Nexon than VOTV would, so basically less than zero faith in him. Unless Nose have an epiphany to know he is listening to the wrong people when it comes to horror there is no helping him and the game may as well be dead.

@@SomeordinaryProtogen Community about the game basically anywhere is pretty bad, Nose forums being the worst place to even talk about it imo. Wasn't a fan of the subreddit when everyone on there seem to only be aware of the surface level stuff and somehow miss literally everything I personally love about the game. It is hard to even talk to people on the subreddit because you basically have to teach them EVERYTHING about the game just to catch them up which of course is spoilers on top of spoilers. The only good thing to come out of the subreddit is the guy who made the interactive map and mini-site listing all of the hidden stuff of the game but last I checked he got bored and no longer supporting it, can't blame him. The only community I found to be decent is 4chan when they have threads on the game or /vg/ horror thread which allow for discussion on all horror games including VOTV. There though people are fully aware of how awful Nose and his discord/forum are. Likely not going to happen anytime soon but there is an artist talking about making a game inspired by VOTV but basically doing everything right. As far as I am aware only the concept exist and there not even a mockup been made though but the concept is basically working at a dam as far as I am aware with a more swampy area surrounding it. The artist who aims to make the game are also the one who make the semi-nsfw pinup ingame posters of characters of VOTV for VOTV. Of course 4chan have it own set of issues but it the only place I found that doesn't try to suck off Nose every few seconds. They are willing to acknowledge the good but also the bad of the game. If you can handle edgy people who love to use slurs often it is honestly the best place to discuss the game but can't recommend it for everyone for obvious reasons. As for Nose using the game for his fetish creations that was pretty clear from the start even pre-Erie. Funny though as people love Arirals, his OC alien race as the silly stupid tricksters and prankers that they are in the game when they are literally nothing like that in Nose lore. Nose on his discord talk as if they are so smart that they are literally better than humans in every possible way but they don't give off that vibe whatsoever in VOTV. Honestly I don't trust Nose as a person whatsoever, he give off creep vibes. I am a frim believer you can like a subject and hate the creator or vice versa without having to support the thing you hate. Once again I used to like VOTV and the vibe it give off but the more Nose insert himself into it the less enjoyable it becomes.
