After playing the new version I realized that it's not that bad, the new parts can be bought and they are not that expensive, the total price does not change much, it goes from 1550 to 2250, in case you buy the chip, and without counting that they increased the selling price of the MRE, now a full box is worth almost 1000 points, and only with the river barrel and the MRE you find on the map you can sell 2 boxes and half of another, getting to have 2300 points in the first 4 days 💀💀💀 And for scrap you can create it with the trash at the base, you can even get it in the supplies, in short, you can rush the KerfurO, but getting its parts by exploring became more complicated. And if you don't want to spend everything, you can use some of the points for upgrades and items. Buying a knife will save you money on food because of the amount of potatoes you'll find. This is ideal because the process of finding the pieces takes a while. It's better to start a game well and go buy the kerfus, the camera and the chip (if you're too lazy to get it). ☝️🤓

Considering how fragile kerfuro was originally, this process is not worth the time investment. Unless drnose plans on making it so kerfuro doesnt fall apart when enemies so much as breathe on her. Congrats drnose, you made one of the most iconic characters in your game ultimately not at all worth working towards. At this point, id rather get the reports and fix the transformers myself and deal with a zombie kerfur every couple weeks or so... And before someone replies in the comments "but kerfuro makes the game too easy" need i remind you you originally still had to figure out the crafting system, buy two separate kerfurs, and know about where the capsule and book were, for a servant whos usefulness lasts up until about the time the grays show up, then the poor thing cant go one day without being bumped into by a cyberboar!

With all the threats we're dealing with thanks to 8.0, that "literally does your job for you" gives you time to prepare and explore the map before the Rozitals and grays both decide "lol congrats no more map exploration for you!" Not everyone is going to have this minmaxed out immediately, and it's still a lot of time to invest into something that can die so much as an enemy breathes on it

@@dyingstar24 Omega Kerfur was never meant to be a common option for new players. It’s meant for experienced players who want to put more time into exploring other aspects of the game instead of having to follow the same gameplay loop all of the time. After you acquire the special parts for Omega Kerfur, (AI drive, joints) you can just buy them from the shop (making money is insanely easy since MREs are worth like 25 credits each now,) which makes getting it a second time very easy, (so in the long run it IS worth it,) allowing you to get it very fast at the beginning of a new save. Boars have been changed in 0.8.1 and they are much more easy to handle with them despawning and only spawning during the night. Wisps are very easy to avoid as they also despawn and only spawn during the night. As long as you’re smart with when you send out your Omega Kerfur, you won’t have any problems. If there’s too many Boars, you can always kill them, they aren’t too difficult to deal with.

Important note for metal scrap: The shelf item on the Deco tab can deconstruct into 1 metal scrap when you use a hacksaw on it (300pt on Tools tab, infinite use). Shelf only costs 20pt each, but ships one at a time. Queue up a lot of these before you sleep to save up to 560pts on each kerfur you make (140pt for 7 shelf vs 700pt for 14 gas cans).

Nah. The Dev loves Kerfur & openly encourages the fandom's enthusiasm toward them, but this is part of a longer, overarching goal w/ the game's development to make the crafting system purposefully quite difficult, yet incredibly rewarding (well beyond the current scope) -- it's been confirmed for a while now that Kerfur is going to have a LOT more utilities in the future (one I've seen heavily at several times since 8.0 dropped is Kerfur eventually knowing how to use common handheld items, such as hooks).

I like that this is now more of an engame goal (I mean lets be honest if you get a KerfO it just does everything for you and you don't leave the base) But also 3k is a ton of money, if you aren't grinding money with Bitcoin miners early you won't get enough money until like day 50 unless you really save and dont buy shit. (Well TBF you can cut the cost by like at least 1500 since you can just gather trash instead of buying it and you wont buy some of that other shit) And also those little joints and shit can get lost so easily with all the wild events VOTV has. Only thing that would be nice if this is how hard it is to assemble Kerfur-O now, is for it to be able to detect incoming hostile entities and try to avoid them, or if not possible, re-route back to base, so if it gets destroyed, the limbs wont be scattered around the forest, because of the terrain. (The usage of the angered spin kick attack would be nice as a last resort option XD)

There's a cheaper source of metal scrap, the cans from the vending machine, they don't need to even be empty. This is unless the recipe was removed or Nerf. Also a lot of people are complaining but tbh, this isn't that expensive. You already get a lot of scrap from the garbage at the base so those prices are far less and only apply to making more, a lot of the other materials just require you to scavenge for them, not like you don't have plenty of time already to go out of the base and do that, and the things you do actually need to buy like the camera aren't bad and the two kerfurs were always a part of the price before other update. You guys need to remember that you're complaining cause something that was easy was made harder to balance out the powerful bot. A new player would most likely think it's fair and balanced.
