Can i play my own music plugged into that and get my song and my bass to beth come through. That would be great to practice my originals with, if it did such a thing.

Yes you can. I bought a simple bluetooth adapter that plugs into the aux in. Then you can stream from your phone to the device and it’ll mix.

When is a bluetooth version coming out?
@Bobby-wn5yr2 ай бұрын
When Bluetooth latency is fixed. That’s why even the ones that have Bluetooth only have it for aux to play along to - too much latency with Bluetooth for it to be the connection between hands and ears.
@hubtubby2 ай бұрын
@@Bobby-wn5yr yeah I heard about that, I don't know how fast it has to be though, seen plenty of Bluetooth gaming peripherals
@Bobby-wn5yr2 ай бұрын
@@hubtubby the gaming and video streaming issues aren’t a problem because we’re used to a noticeable lag between what we see and what we hear because sound travels so much slower than light, even over short distances our brains are used to accounting for the gap. This is the gap between what you play with your hands and hear with your ears over a couple of feet, it’s much more noticeable. That’s why the likes of the micro, nux, P1 are all Bluetooth…. But only for receiving audio, so you can play along with a song on your laptop.

@@Bobby-wn5yr interesting explanation. From what I could find Bluetooth mice can get down to as low as 7.1ms. Seems most of the low latency stuff is using their own proprietary versions of Bluetooth and not the open standards which latency seems way to varied to offer in a solution like this. For comparison, what I could find is just standing 5m away from your amplifier, the sound takes about 14.6ms to get to you.
@Bobby-wn5yr2 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s good for mice, but the minimum for audio with Bluetooth 5 is 40ms & often much higher… plus you would need an open standard to use Bluetooth headphones right? If you’re gonna develop a whole new Bluetooth just for monitors…. We already have that tech down. And let’s not pretend like 5m away from your amplifier isn’t a ‘just’ it’s about as far away as you realistically ever get from your amp unless you’re playing a stadium gig… where every band uses IEM’s that are never Bluetooth. 5m from your amp is a putting the amp at one end of a good size garage and you playing at the other… we don’t typically go much further than that. Basically there’s a reason it’s not used for instrument monitors, and it’s not nobody thought of it - Bluetooth ubiquity means it’s really, really cheap to inpliment.

No answer? I can't figure it out either. Just bought it two days ago. I don't see any effects like reverb and delay.

@@garettbauer373 I got mine today, it's quite intuitive once you realise the left/right rocker is also a switch that cycles through the effects when you press it in. Once you have selected an effect the left/right rocker alters the intensity.

How does this compare to the old amplug 2 bass?

Just from the video it sounds less shit. Still not really worth it compared to getting a zoom b1 four for not much money imho, but it does sound less noisy in the reviews than the first and second gen amplugs
