Utilizing "Dark Karate" Vox is basically just a big bully, no fireballs, no full screen presence, he just gets in your face and smashes you to bits. So learn all about Vox in this upcoming release!

Alrighty the completion of the Trilogy is here! We did Preecha, then Marco, now enter Vox Reaper! Vox is our bad boy newcomer for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, and the disciple of Grant from Mark of the Wolves. He's basically a big brawler type character, big normals, good neutral, command grab, but can't do a dang thing from further away. As with the other characters I overall only had a limited time so I can't give you the sickest combos in the world or anything like that, but hopefully this gives you a solid understanding of the character. So give a watch, learn a bit, and enjoy!

As a Gato main, I can already tell it's gonna be a Close range slug fest against this guy. Vox turned out to be a pretty legit successor to Grant in gameplay whilst having his own identity.

Um actually, Im a 5th degree Greybelt in Dark Karate and I can confirm that this is not real Dark Karate. Dark Karate ki can only be channeled via the Azure Gate which would make the aura blasts clear or blue not purple.

And thats the last of my Summer Game Fest footage. Besides the Fatal Fury and M. Bison stuff all I did was play Marvel Rivals a bit, which was admittedly very fun, doubly so cause I overheard the devs saying esports is something they couldn't care less about, they just want to focus on fun which is a damn sight better than overwatch. That and Sega. I asked papa sega very nicely for Virtua Fighter, and instead they offered Monkey Ball. So we will have to wait for later in the year for that lol.

Great video. I’m loving the personality this game is giving to the characters. Vox’s whiff is brilliant and I love Preecha shaking off her hands when there on fire. Reminds me of the old Capcom classic unique interactions between particular characters.

I was thinking Grant looks like he would listen to Shadow the Hedgehog music, and then when he does the "anime pass by you motion" at around 6:50, I was, like, "Shit, he is Shadow the Hedgehog." He even threw his hand to the side like Shadow does when using Chaos Spear in the SA2B versus mode. Edit: I can't help but think of early Guilty Gear dialof between Sol and I-No whenever you play that clip of Vox Reaper going, "Ah, shit!"

A while back I looked at my repertoire of fighting game mains and realized that, across all the fighting games I play, somehow none of the my favorite or most used characters have projectiles. Dunno how that happened, but I guess it means I have to pick up Vox since you had me at "has no projectile, but has big hits."

Ngl, this game looks good. The colors pop, the art style is amazing, the speed is good, the mechanics look fun. With Terry and Mai coming to SF6, I could see a character like Laura Matsuda from SFV being a good guest character in this game. She has command dashes, a projectile, and command grabs. And then, in 2026, we get a new CvS game( and then I woke up)

Laura in this game would be sick! But I feel they'd most likely bring a better known character. Considering it's the successor to Garou, to be thematically consistent it should be one of the 3S newcomers, like Makoto, Yun, Dudley, or Q. But the reality is they'll probably bring Ken or Akuma

I'm not even a legacy SNK fan and already I'm hyped for more characters that'll be in CotW than I was for SF6 or Tekken 8 after seeing the entire roster. I hope they'll keep it coming, love the style of the game and the personality of the characters. Good stuff

Vox is SNK Ed from Street Fighter 6. Color pallete is the same with the green and red, but thats fine with me. Grant was my main back innthe MOTW days. (I Love Mid-Bosses along with Yamazaki). So this along with Marco will definitely get my money when this game comes out.

Grant 2 is a more traditional SNK character from the NEST era. I love him to bits a lot of the mainline newcomers have been cringe. Where Grant felt like geese and ryo mixed, vox seems to be Robert and K'.
