Axl did an incredible Job. Why can’t he sing like that in Guns N’ Roses 2016 2022 tour?
@VickyDreamz Жыл бұрын
He could but he won't. He damaged his vocal chords more than once. If he kept singing like this, he would ruin his voice alltogether (even talking voice would be weak). With AC/DC he sang like this because it is not his band and it's not about him, so he gave all he could

You heard this version. And if you can answer this. I thank you: In gnr he can't do the high notes with distortion (the famous Mickey Mouse voice), and in ACDC he can do. Is the high pitch on Acdc lower than gnr? Because, for me, Axl can't do his famous distortion voice when he needs to do high pitch notes.
@voxsingingacademy3 жыл бұрын
Most AC/DC stuff is higher than Guns N' Roses. Guns N' Roses songs vary from low to high. Axel Roses transition from his low to his high is sometimes inconsistent. I think that he's just more consistent with he's high range in the AC/DC songs. Hope that makes sense
@MutambaBrazil3 жыл бұрын
@@voxsingingacademy So, he can do it, because the Acdc songs are more "linear" (gnr songs have different pitches). If i'm not wrong, at that AXL/DC time, Axl had a vocal coach and some preparation before the gigs.
@voxsingingacademy3 жыл бұрын
@@MutambaBrazil yes I did read somewhere that he had a vocal coach and rehearsed for the AC/DC shows for quite awhile.
@Worshipsatch3 жыл бұрын
No , actually he changed his technique because the excessive rasp destroyed his voice before... He would do it easily with rasp in his prime...
@Brandon_0933 жыл бұрын
@@Worshipsatch 09-10 he used a lot of rasp. He sounded amazing. But we really haven’t heard it since then on his mid range stuff. I’m sure that took a real toll on his voice being in his late 40s at the time. I’m thinking that’s what led to him change it up. But ever since his return in 2001 he started having that softer mid range, idk if that’s because he changed his technique or if he had some surgery. I know he had polyps removed

Axel done his job
@keithsimpson24462 жыл бұрын
couple of things. i think the reason he sounded as powerul and strong as he did with acdc is because he didn't want to let the hardcore acdc fans down by signing poorly. also, i read somewhere that its easier for him to sing in that upper register with such power is because a lot of acdc vocals are so high and for the most part stay up in the upper register whereas with gnr songs, theres a lot more ups and downs in his vocals making it more challenging. I believe he has also had numerous surgeries on his vocal cords to remove growths. But its evident that a big issue is his struggle in his middle register and most of the time he uses falsetto even when he fully capable i believe to sing in his normal register. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts/critique on their latest track "hard skool" and a track off the chinese democracy album " there was a time". Insane upper register.

Alot of ppl shit on axl about how he cant sing like the axl of the late 80s and 90s. But hell can any of us do the things we did when we were in our 20s. He has some faults but he ajusts to what ue can do and is still a better singer than most of the "artists l" of today, even with their autotune and what not. He sings a hell of a lot better than vince meal and motley food. And still pulls off a great show with GNR and Ac/dc

I was never so embarrassed for AC/DC as when Axl was their guest singer. He did a competent job singing Bon's songs, but he did not sound quite right singing Brian's songs, and his flashy image just didn't fit the more blue-collar band. I understand he is a major fan of the band, though, and actually volunteered his services, so respect to him for that.
