I joined hearthstone in Festival of Legends (a year ago i know) and this was my fav expansion during that erra. After titans came out it felt different cause titans were generally better than colossals but dropping colosals as a value bomb in apprentice league where deck building isn't a thing was the best feeling ever.

Hi there Rarran, an idea I have had for a while for one of your weird game format : do a Horde vs Alliance best of X (5 ?). Meaning you choose a class with a hero portrait matching your faction (priest can be Anduin or Tyrande for Alliance for example, Garrosh is Horde Warrior but Magni is Alliance Warrior, etc). You then can ONLY play cards matching the hero ; if you play Human Paladin, you can only play cards related to Humans/Stormwind, both class cards and neutrals ; if it's Blood Elf Paladin, you have access to different cards (no "Alliance Bannerman" but "For Quel'Thalas" etc). It means you can play mirror class match but the decks will be entirely different. And you would settle the eternal WoW debate of which faction is better... :)

@Rarran 27:22 I don't think it's a weird complaint since it if you want to disenchant a card you also have to do this because it overwrites it. Hence most returning players don't even know how many cards they have (I got around 20k dust just by going through each expansion and disenchanting bad cards)

After this series ends, I'd love to see it done again with someone else. BUT... with the "reward" being 3 different options: Craft 1 or 2 copies of a card from the NEW expansion. (perhaps limitations of no legendaries?) Open 3 extra packs of the new expansion Open 3 packs from a randomly spun expansion.

I don't know if its feasible with schedules and whatnot but if you do this series again you could bring on people like Eddy or Zeddy and do a round robin each week or some sort of 4 player tourney for each expansion. Another idea is you could bring on two non hearthstone players and watch them go through the expansions and their experiences with each one. See how they're deckbuilding differs from Hearthstone players.

I was not a huge fan of the editing for the pack opening this video. It would often cut to people's faces when I wanted to see what cards they were opening (even though they were probably irrelevant). Zooms, especially on the legendaries, were also very fast and sudden, making it hard to follow along and read cards. And when Rarran said 'there it is' upon seeing his first legend, we didn't even get to see gold outline of something being legendary. The cuts themselves also felt fairly repetitive. It would be the same 3 things: full screen, zoom in to face in corner, cut to face in corner. There was the occasional time where there was some more variety (like cut to card or cut to slightly more zoomed in face in corner), but with how often the cuts happened and with how little else was happening on screen, it was very obvious that there were only 3 things happening. Maybe this was all also true of previous videos and I'm only noticing this time, but for me, I found the editing disorientating and repetitive.

It's all true of the previous videos and it's driving me a little nuts. I know it's to keep the people with low attention span but surely their commentary should be enough ? It's not like there's any second of silence left by the editing. Though the timing of the zooms is worse than usual, like Rarran talking about the Fires and the zoom not letting us see the card. I really enjoy this series but I think it would be better if you could craft like 4 commons 2 rare 1 epic and 1 niche legendary per set just to make some decks more consistent and open more doors so we don't see the same classes every week (which happened quite a lot early in the series)
