Great review! I agree! My husband and I stayed there right before Covid hit. I loved the paint colors so much that I asked the concierge if she happen to know them or have access to them. She did not, but she had the hotels interior designer email me with all the colors! I couldn't believe it! As of right now, we are in the middle of painting our house "half moon bay Ritz Carlton"!

I used to live down the street at 340 Fairway drive from 1988-2012 in Ocean Colony right across the 10th fairway. So many memories. Got priced out now living in Las Vegas NV since then. But we own our house that we couldn't before .

We spent our 20th anniversary at this hotel. The personnel at check in were second to none in making sure our stay was truly memorable. There was a little hiccup on check in but they more than made up for the slight mishap. They gave us a fabulous room and decorated it so lovingly, flower pedals shaped like a heart, champagne and chocolates. But then came day 2. Again a memorable but in the opposite direction. Without getting in to the details, let me just say that the majority of the staff live up to the Ritz Carlton reputation but there are a few that give have not tact or respect for their guests and give this place a very bad taste. As mentioned in your video, this is truly a beautiful location. I just wish that they would hire and train the correct personnel on how to treat Ritz Carlton guests.

That's never fun - were you able to complain at the hotel? If you did, I'm sad to hear they didn't make it right. Hopefully they have worked on the training issues and will have better service commitment in the future

Hi Vijay! I hope you go - it’s so wonderful. I’d recommend checking their site for a bed and breakfast rate (that’s your best bet). Otherwise, I would highly recommend booking a club level room. We did not have this but the club has complimentary breakfast as well as afternoon canapés and alcoholic drinks so it can be a great add-on.

Hi there! To be honest, I have no idea what the rates are but they do change quite a bit depending on the time of year, occupancy etc. We were there in March 2019. I would recommend checking their rates directly on Marriott's website for the most accurate information :)

Have been there twice. The service outdoors is great, the Conservatory, not so much. Stay away from the casual, stay outdoors. Their Yelp reviews confirm it. Also sent feedback to the hotel, never got a response.

That’s great advice! We didn’t eat at the conservatory during that stay- although my mother in law had a negative experience there several years ago. We only ate at their fine dining restaurant and the outdoor bar and those were spectacular. That’s disappointing that they didn’t reply :( have you tried TripAdvisor or email?

WE WERE THERE TO TRY TO MAKE OUR RESERVATION AT THE LOOBY IN PERSON. BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE WOMAN WHO WAS AT THE ENTRANCE: SHE TOLD US THAT WE CAN'T GO IN BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE A RESERVATION BUT A TRY TO EXPLAIN TO HER THAT WE COULDN'T MAKE A RESERVATION ON LINE AND THAT IS SOOOOO BAD BECAUSE WE ARE A GUESS AND THAT IS NOT A GREAT SERVICE. AND I THINK THAT IS TERRIBLE SERVICE AT THE ENTER.

Hi Rachel, thanks for your comment! Yes- it is definitely on the higher end, but I must say it's an incredibly unique property. I do not know of many hotels like this Ritz property so it certainly is an experience worth considering for a special occasion :).
