I was at Walmart a couple of years ago. I scanned 8 bottles of different vitamins and heard 8 beeps. The machine stops, a guy comes over, only 7 items scanned. They didn’t do anything but now I only shop at Walmart if I absolutely have to. I now double check each individual item as I scan. I have never shop lifted anything in my life, it could have escalated to a big thing. They’ve lost a lot of money from me in the last two years.

Yeah my experience the self checkouts are very sensitive to skip scanning. And it usually suspends the checkout until an employee clears it. Weird it didn’t do that in this case when it was really obvious.
