- I'd love to see demonstrations that really show the capacity of the chamber; e.g. what size & how many mason jars would fit in the chamber; vac-sealing a whole chicken, rabbit, goose, etc

Now had 2 of these.. Replaced the first one and now returning the second one. This product has got some serious Q&A issues as it was not pulling a complete vacuum.. A pouch with food in it shouldnt have a few 'ounces' of air volume when it's complete. Not good for sous vide cooking because the bags keep trying to float away.

I keep hearing that and it hasn't even been out for long. Also, I messaged the company on IG with a couple of questions... The response time wasn't what you would expected from a great company, and to top it off, the response was very generic and short. I was on the fence about this company and another U.S. brand with similar offerings in this size range... But in contrast, the other company's response time was incredibly fast and friendly... As if they cared to have someone assigned to that specific task. Up until that point, I had this idea that Vacmaster must be a top tier company, and I can't say that they're not, but with reports of poor QC on this particular model and their subpar attention to potential client inquiries, I feel iffy about them, now. Our company bought the units we needed from the other company, but I'm still left with curiosity about their products, since I know that the issues that we saw with Vacmaster aren't because of their products, but clearly all about poor management. I hope my input is helpful.

Peter HV I think this is like buying a 1-series BMW; you get the less than first string support on the low end model.

I have one that has a couple of issues. Not pulling complete vacuum is one. The front vacuum port leaks. Occasionally the seal bar raises prematurely causing the bag to expand. This causes it to either slip out from the seal bar, and/or still have quite a bit of air in the bag after sealing.

Very interested in this machine, but I'm hearing too many comments about the defective design or manufacturing. Not much of a demo in this vid. I really can't make an investment in a machine that *might* work. Would rather pay more for a machine that *does* work. I think company is going to have to acknowledge problems with this model and detail exactly what has been done to solve those issues. Would help to relaunch the improved model as the 201 or something, so we can easily determine if we're buying the new or old version. If its a simple as a Chinese mfg issue on the first production run, then just say so, detail what you have done to remedy those first buyers, that the first production run has been recalled, and you have fixed your supplier issues. Until then, I have to pass on this and look at other brands.

Is the pump stronger than the VP-120? I have to run the pump at least once or twice before I seal anything to get it "warmed up" or it doesn't remove enough air from the chamber. Lame!

I have had a vp215 for 9 years and love it, I got this vp200 in July and it is a POS! I sent it back to VacMaster to get worked on and it was returned to me falling apart. The curved bottom makes it hard to keep bags in place, the bag clip does not help. This is the worst machine that VacMaster has put out.
