Thank you. Can we cut out surface cavity from surface block? Sometimes we receive cavity in surface created in different software and we need to create that cavity in mould block but bcz surface cavity, cavity can't cut from solid block or surface block. Also IDD option sometimes not worked to convert cavity into solid as cavity created from many surface. Will you please answer, that will be helpful.

Hi, thank you for your question. If you need to create cut out by surface cavity, is necessary use same model accuracy (4kside.com/blog.html). You can use cut out if you have solid geometry or solidify if your cavity shape is based on surfaces. Yes of cource, imoroted geometry needs to be repaired many times by IDD and no problem that is based on many surfaces (necessary ist that both model are based on same quality / model accuracy)
